Change of Heart

Complicated-4

Two days had past since the day I hung out with my new friends. I wanted Michael to text me but at the same time I was really nervous to see him again. I'm not good at the whole hanging out with a boy thing, considering that no guys ever asked me to hangout with them.

I looked at my phone when I woke up and saw that it was 10:30 AM, the earliest I've been up all summer! I wasn't really that hungry so i decided to go take a shower and throw on something comfy to wear since I was clearly not doing anything productive today.

After my very long shower of listening to some Paramore I got out and saw that my phone was ringing. It was Michael.

I tried to act calm but inside my stomach felt like it was going to explode. "Hey Sophia!" Michael practically yelled through the phone. "Hi Michael, what's up?" I tried my hardest not to seem like I was too excited. "Me and the boys are going out for breakfast and we wanted to know if you wanted to join us?!" Michael said with excitement in his cute voice. "Uh yeah I'd love to, just one question.. will Luke be there?" I asked trying my hardest to no sound too bitchy. Sometimes I don't mean to sound that way but it comes out like I'm being a horrible person.  Michael giggled and said, "Of course he will be here silly! He is one of my best friends, I'll see you in 20 minutes Sophia".  And with that he hung up and I finished getting ready, now having to put something cute on.

**20 minutes later**

I saw Ashton pull into my driveway with the rest of the boys in the car and ran out of my house very fast. I didn't want my parents see them and I didn't want the boys to have time to come in to try and meet my parents.

I got to the car and waved to a very smiley Ashton and got into the back seat. Just my luck, Luke was sitting in the middle seat and I had no choice but to sit next to him. 

"Hey Soph" Luke said to me smiling.

"Hi, and its SophIA" Making sure I emphasized the IA at the end. I kind of felt bad as soon as I said that but hey I'm still upset!

Luke looked down while awkwardly playing with his hands and softly said "Oh I uh I'm sorry Sophia, won't happen again". Now I really felt like a bitch.

We listened to some music in the car and for the first time while with others in a car I actually liked the music that was playing.

Michael finally broke the silence and lowered the music, he looked into my eyes and said, "Soo what's your favorite breakfast meal?!". I couldn't help but giggle awkwardly and said, "Um I really like banana and chocolate chip pancakes, and i looove bacon and sausage and pretty much everything else". I realized how crazy I must've sounded and looked down at my hand being my awkward self. Michael must've noticed and quickly said, "Thank god!! We all eat like pigs and we all pretty much love everything and eat anything". Him saying that weirdly made me instantly feel better.

We finally arrived at the cute little breakfast spot and we all got out. Luke ran over to the door and awkwardly opened it for me and the rest of the boys. Maybe he's not as bad as I think he is. We got to the table and Luke again being very kind pulled out my chair for me and I shyly said thank you and sat down. I was now sitting across from Luke who sat next to Calum and Ashton while Michael sat next to me.

The waitress finally came over to us and took all of our orders. Michael was right they all do eat anything and everything. While we waited for our food to come Michael started talking to Calum about a song idea and Ashton kept chiming in as well. This left Luke and I sitting across from each other in silence. Luke finally broke the silence.

"I really am sorry for calling you Soph, I had no right to give you some nickname even if I do think its cute", Luke said while letting a small smile leave his lips.

"Its fine, Im sorry I freaked out for no reason", I said giving him a warm smile. I really didn't know why it bothered me in the first place.

The food finally came out and we all got very excited to dig in!

After we all devoured our food Michael said he would pay for everything which I thought was really cute and kind of him to do something like that.

We all ran to the car and pilled in.  For some reason I was kind of happy I got stuck having to sit next to Luke in the car. We all sang and had fun in the car, their voices clearly way better than mine. Luke actually had a really beautiful voice along with the rest of them but for some reason it was Lukes voice I could clearly hear over the others.

Finally arriving back to my house all the boys got out of the car to walk me to my door. I was really hoping they'd just let me go by myself but I couldn't control what they did. I opened the door and let all of us into the house where my parents were sitting in the kitchen talking about some "parent stuff" as they usually called it. I introduced all of them to my parents and my parents seemed to like all of them which meant that I'd definitely be able to hangout with them again.

As the boys were leaving I gave them all a hug and before Michael let go of me he said he'd text me later. I got goosebumps throughout my whole body when he said this. When I hugged Luke he looked into my eyes with his beautiful blue eyes and said, "By the way i didn't forget about making it up to you for being a jerk. How's tomorrow night? I'll pick you up at 7?". I got butterflies in my stomach hearing Luke say those words to me, all i could say was, "Yeah 7 sounds good, see you then!".

I instantly texted my friend Meghan who was always there for me when I needed advice.

Me: "Hey I need your help asap, I have these two great guys who are friends that I think i might have feelings for. It's complicated! SOS"
