We all stay quiet for a second until father speaks, "Cassandra why is Angel saying that?"

"I don't know," I say nervously.

"They kissed!" Angel exclaims.

Harold did tell her! Why?

"Calm down," father says, "Austin leave the house. Cassandra you come with me."

"Sir, I can explain," Austin says.

"Leave! I don't want to see you anymore, this is like the third time you get involve with her," Angel yells.

"Stop it," Kelly gets Angel from the arm and drags her out of the room. Father tells Austin to leave and he does.

I don't know what happened. It was so quick. I feel weak and sit in the ground. Father sits next to me. "Tell me what happened Cassandra," he whispers. He doesn't sound upset but he had his politician voice.

"I-I don't know,"

What should I do? Austin is going to tell everyone then since Harold told everyone we kissed.

I'm scared.

"Is it true Austin and you kissed?" He asks.

I nod. I can't face him. I'm not a good daughter.

"Dad?" Harold knocks on the door.

"I'm talking to your sister, wait," father responds.

"We need to talk,"

"Harold please," father insists.

The door opens, "I don't want to you to get angry with Cassandra," Harold says.

I look at him. I'm praying now. I don't want to keep secrets anymore.

"We had sex," the words leave my mouth.

"Why?" Dad asks. Huh? That's not the response I was expecting. I look at him. He is frowning. "Sweetie, why? Why did you do that? You betrayed your sister for a boy?"

Oh no, great, he thinks Austin and I had sex.

"She told me," Harold goes along, "but I got angry, so I told Angel."

No! Why is he lying more to father? Austin loves Angel. He will never do that.

Father sighs loudly and rubs his eyes as if he has a headache. "I can't save you from this one Cassandra," he says, "you did wrong."

I try to speak but words don't come out. I look at Harold and he signals me to be quiet. Father stands and looks down at me. "I'm going to talk to Austin. You stay here Cassandra. Don't get out."

"Dad, Austin is going to deny it," Harold says.

"Take care of your sisters," father steps out of the room. Harold quickly kneels in front of me and cups my face. I finally react and push him. I stand to close the door with the lock. I can't believe Harold said that!

"Why did you say Austin had sex with me?" I ask. "I was talking about us. I can't deal with this insecurity and fright."

Harold stands and is confused. "You were really going to tell him about us?"

"Yeah, I think, I rather tell father than for Austin to say it to him," I reply.

"But I don't want us to end. We are barely knowing each other and we are already to deep to separate Cassie," Harold says. He gets my hands. "We can't just say anything to anyone."

"But father will know now! He's probably talking to Austin as we speak. Austin is going to tell him what he saw."

Harold caresses my cheek. "I'm sorry. I messed up."

I step back, "Yes you did."

"I can fix it,"

"No, just leave," I say as I sit on the bed. I put my head down.

"Harold!" Kelly yells very loudly that my heart was about to pop out of chest.

Harold jumps a bit. "Y-yeah?"

"Come now!" She yells back.

She sounds so angry. What happened?

Harold quickly walks out.

HAROLD POV

I'm walking to the living room after my mom yells like I never heard her before. I see her standing with her hand on her hip and the other on her forehead. She is pacing back and forth.

"Mom?" I ask. I stand behind the couch. I see Angel eyeing me evilly from across the room. She is siting on a chair from the dinner table.

Mom stops pacing, walks towards me, and slaps me. My face burns. My chest hurts. My eyes begin to water. She has never slapped me.

"I can't believe you will do this," Mom says. I look at her again. "Why didn't you try to prevent Cassandra from doing harm to Angel?"

Is that why she's angry?

"You don't have to slap me," I say, "I can't control people."

"But you knew," Mom says, "and you let it happen."

"He had change ever since Cassandra moved in," Angel says.

"I agree," Mom replies.

"What?" I ask.

Angel stands, "You are always on her side. I thought you didn't like her."

"But it's not my business to keep up with what she does. And even if I tried to do something, again, I can't control her! I am barely telling you this because I saw she wasn't going to stop." I lie. I completely lie.

"I hate her," Angel says in between her teeth. She is so angry.

The door suddenly opens and it's my dad. "The twins came back," he says. The twins come running in and say hi to everyone before going to their room

"What happened?" mom asks.

"We will talk tomorrow. I need to rest," dad says in a sober tone.

"Everything okay?" I hear my mom ask him as she walks towards him. They walk to their room.

"I wish she would have never been found. We were all happy before she came into this house. She broke my first family and now she is breaking this one," angel says. She also walks to her room. I hear her door slam shut.

I drop to the couch. I don't know what's going to happen. What did Austin say to my dad? What did I do? I was so stupid. I let my emotions take over my decisions and mouth.

I might have screw this over.

I text Austin.

Hey, what did you tell my dad?

"What else?"- Austin

You promised

"I did to Cassie, but you were an idiot. Now angel thinks I had sex with her too."- Austin

Wait, Angel doesn't know that, should I say something?

"Fuck off bro. You ruined everything"- Austin

Oh man, what the hell should I do? I can't just leave Cassandra. I really like her. I love her body. I like her smile and her skin. I adore when she laughs.

I can't just let this die.

Or

Should I?

I'm not in love with her? Am I?

Is it just good sex? A thrill?

It's not wrong, right?
