Brian and I take the bus to school. He goes in first and gets his car. I wait for him around the block. He picks me up and drives me my house. I get out of the car. "Thanks Brian."
"Now leave before we get in trouble," he drives away. I go in and dial my father's job.
"Cassie? What the hell?" He asks.
"I needed to come back. I'm not feeling well. We need to talk. I'm in the house."
"You skipped school again? With Roger or who?"
"No one, father please,"
"Fine. Stay there. I'm going."
It takes him 20 minutes to come. I already seen my things outside the bedroom. I couldn't change clothes since all of it was already in suitcases.
I'm in the living room with my father.
"I made my decision," I say.
"About what? You aren't staying here longer I'm sorry but that's what we need to do," father says.
"no, I know I need to leave, but about Harold."
"You have no choice. Don't give me the "love" crap. You don't love each other. Harold is younger than you. His interest in sex and girls is off the roof. He was having sex with a Mariella girl too Cassandra at the same time he was with you."
What? He-he was seeing her too?
He didnt tell me that. Really?
"You did know right? I mean, you were either Roger as w-"
"No," I stop him, "He-he told me to break up with him. Harold never told me about Mariella."
Father shakes his head while looking down. He sighs, "I don't agree with your relationship and will never be, but I know you don't love each other Cassie. Harold doesn't love you. Trust me."
I can't believe this. I suddenly feel my father's hand on my hand. I turn to him. "Sorry," I say. "I didn't want to ruin your family."
"And I'm sorry for not being there,"
"I swear, it just happened, I don't know how but it did," I begin to whimper. "I'm sorry."
Father hugs me. "I forgive you but I need time to fix this. You need your space back."
"Okay,"
"Let's go before everyone comes in."
...
I am settling down in my new room. I am in my 'aunt' house. She is a single mother of a baby girl Alice. She is 6 years younger than Kelly. She got divorce a year ago. Her name is Bethany.
"Here is your pillows," Bethany walks in with three puffy pillows on top if each other and sets them on the bed. She smiles lightly. She's the opposite of Kelly. Though, she does know what happened.
"Thank you Ms. Bethany," I say.
"Welcome, now, I ordered Chinese. Can you get it when it comes?" She gives me a 20 dollar bill. I nod. "I'm going to feed Alice." She walks out of the room.
I finish packing and head to the living room. The house is only one floor yet it is quite big. It is 4 rooms, 2 bathrooms, big kitchen, and a good backyard with a swimming pool.
This is going to be my home for as long as I want it to be.
My phone rings: HAROLD
I answer it. "Hello."
"Cassie are you okay?"
"Yeah. But this is over."
"What?"
"You don't love me. I don't love you either," I say. Father is right. Brian was right. I might just got lost into the idea of love and the feelings with sex.
"No. I do like you a lot," Harold says.
"That's it, like me not love me," i say. "Our family doesn't accept us Harold."
"But-"
"Besides, you had sex with Mariella. Father told me. I'm not that upset but still, you made me brake up with Roger while you still had mariella with you."
"I told him-"
"Whatever, just forget about this. we shouldn't have done anything."
"Wait, where are you? My dad said you were leaving but did you already leave?"
"Yes," I answer, "don't worry. I'm still in town with your mom's sister. I will still attend school but I rather not see you. I want to move on."
"So just like that?"
"Yes, I'm sorry. Bye." I quickly hang up before he convinces me to stay. I can't stay.
....
Next day

Brian smiles at me as I enter the classroom. Almost everyone is already here.
I sit and the bell rings. Class begins.
Class finishes and Brian stops me. "Hey, how did it go?" He asks.
"Okay, I'm still alive," I reply.
He chuckles, "so can you not say what I told you in my place?"
I nod. "It's okay."
"Alright see you later," he smiles.
"Bye."
..
I'm in line to get food for lunch. I actually feel a bit better now. I haven't seen Angel or Harold though. I do want to tell Angel I never did anything with Austin.
I pay the lady and go sit with Jessie and Ben.
"Finally, you remember us, what happened yesterday?" Jessie asks. "People were spreading rumors about you and Austin."
I roll my eyes, "Hi jessie."
"Forgive my sister, but she was worried about you," Ben says.
I sigh, "nothing happened between Austin and I. It's a rumor."
"So why the comottion?" Ben asks.
I explain about the accidental kiss I give Austin. Hopefully they believe me.
We begin to eat. "Thanks for trusting us," Jessie says.
"Thanks for being my friends," I say. I am grateful for them to listen and understand me.
"Ignore the haters," Ben says.
I smile at him.
The day goes on without a problem. I'm walking out to wait for Ms. Bethany to pick me up.
I turn and see Austin talking to Angel. She isn't screaming so that's good. She is listening to him.
Ben screams my name. He us suddenly in front of me. "Hey, I heard you aren't living with your dad, why?"
"Who told you?"
"Jessie was talking to Harold. He asked her if she saw you go to your aunts house."
"Oh, well, yeah I'm living with Kelly's sister now."
"Why?"
"Because I'm 18 already, yesterday was my birthday,"
"Wait, your birthday?" Ben asks.
"You should have told me-us. Let's go celebrate."
I chuckle, "its fine." Ms. Bethany arrives and honks.
"I need to go Ben. See you tomorrow."
"Okay, I'm going to take you to dinner!"
"Okay!"
I get in the car and we go home.
...
Days later

"So," Angel is standing in the entrance of the house. She has a black skirt with black leggings, a white shirt, and boots. "Austin and I are back together. He explained what happened. He said you were going to fix everything."
I nod.
She continues, "the house is quiet now. My mom has Harold grounded. The twins actually miss you."
"I miss them too but I'm not a good example to keep around," I say.
"You were stupid. Harry was stupid. It is weird. I don't like it but then again you aren't really siblings."
"I know, but I know i don't love him. It was something stupid but I liked it," I say. "A boy never gave me the attention Harold gave me."
"I guess," Angel says. "I just wanted to tell you that. I guess I see you till Thanksgiving. Bye."
