Car full of choppers and everybody quiet,
car full of goons and everybody certified,
and if you froze up last time you can't ride

Plies, Goons Lurkin, blared through Lucky's AirPods as he put a serious hurting on the punching bag. His mind was in all sorts of shambles. His dream about his mom was still bothering him. He rarely dreamt about her which made things a bit harder to process. He wanted to go on a shooting spree just to rid the nerves but that would do him no justice. It would be similar to giving a recovering addict a sample of what stirred up their problem; he'd just chase more of it.
Daewon's words crept into his mind and his blows grew vicious.
He still hated himself for allowing him to see daylight. That would have never got by him had he never met Ava. Putting any man down that disrespected him was never a hesitation of his. He never had to think twice about sending someone to meet their maker. Nor did he ever give a second or third chance. He hated this new side of him but damn, he knew he couldn't be ruthless and detached forever.
He had Ava to think about. Their daughter. It still seemed surreal to him that he was actually having a little girl. Maybe God was real. Maybe the big guy in the sky heard his faint prayers. But he knew things wouldn't be set in stone until he took care of Frank. Lucky wasn't worried though. Frank wasn't allowed to physically be in Philly off the strength of Lucky's name but it didn't mean he didn't have antsy and eager dudes on payroll to call and inform him whenever the ghost known as Lucky returned.
The first time Lucky touched down in Philly with Ava, Frank didn't believe his ears when he caught wind of it. But the second time around, oh yeah, he had a score to settle with the man that brought him major business and money. He was paying Lucky to do work and allowed him to be freelance, but Lucky was his moneymaker and a major reason why people respected him and feared him more.
But Lucky was no man of fear. He was never fearful and that struck several nerves in Frank. Lucky was the only man to never conform or bow down to him and it bruised his ego. Even as a young adult, Lucky never flinched an inch at the sound or sight of danger. Once Lucky realized how fishy Frank began to act, Lucky finished one last job for him and took his business elsewhere. Making noise but still being incognito, up north and down south, Lucky was sure to never cross any territories that the infamous Yung had bestowed his presence upon.
When he got the contract to handle Delano in Virginia, Lucky wanted to decline at first. Not out of fear but respect for a living damn legend. What would it look like for some stranger to blow through the 757 claiming to be a hitman for hire that was there to handle Delano? A person that the world knew King could have easily taken out with no problem?
