(hi guys!! it changes POV ALOT in this chapter so make sure you pay attention to what POV it is, or you might get confused!😊)

Karma's POV*
As we rolled across the hills of the highway, I slowly found myself drifting asleep. I had been so tired, and I found that I could barely stand it any longer. So I gave in and closed my eyes and let the sounds of the cassette sooth me. The thoughts that had been running through my head seemed to fade away, and my spirit seemed to become free. I stretched my arm out the window of the vintage light pink Chevrolet, and mumbled the lyrics with my eyes still closed, the words echoing in my head - "you're a doll. you are flawless. but I just can't wait for love to destroy us. I just can't wait for love. the only flaw - you are flawless, but I just can't wait for love to destroy us. I just can't wait for love." The sounds of the waves crashing drowned out Calum's voice in my brain, and for once in what seemed a long time, everything was okay.

*Calum's POV*
Just thinking of Karma's arrival made me start pacing back and forth and running my fingers through my hair. I was so nervous. I haven't spoken to her since the night I kissed her - she wouldn't reply. I didn't know what I was going to do, and I didn't know what I was going to say. All I know is that she's perfect, and that it would be amazing.

*Michael's POV*
The boys had sent me out before sound check to get some Macca's. I had tried to call Karma on the way, but she didn't answer. Damn. I hope she didn't back out. Cal was so fucking excited. So was I and the other guys of course. It was going to be awesome. Cal had planned something for her tonight at the concert, and he was so nervous. Hell, we all were. I turned off onto the first exit saying McDonalds. I popped in my Blink182 CD, and sang along as I Miss You blared through. I ordered 4 mighty kids meals - the lads and I had to have a Ninja Turtle. On my way out of the drive-thru, I saw a girl sitting on the side of the road. She had long sleek black hair with a icy blue streak and dark brown eyes. She had an Asian look to her and was extremely pretty. She was wearing what looked like a tattered shirt, and her bottoms looked like ripped pajamas. She had a solemn look on her face, like she was contemplating a decision, something important. She must of been homeless. She might have not seemed like much to other people, but I couldn't seem to take my eyes off of her. I knew it might make us late to our sound check, but I couldn't leave her there. I exited the drive-thru and drove up in front of her. She glanced up. "Hey, um do you want a ride?", I asked. "I don't want your help," she said irritably. I met her gaze. She looked so broken and scared. I smiled softly. "Look, I can't just leave you here." Her eyes seemed to burst with interest, but her body tensed. She asked sarcastically while cocking her head, "And why is that?" Her eyes were full of emotion. You could tell she was kind under her cold exterior. "You're alone and," She cut me off, "What's wrong with being alone?" I quickly said, "Nothing." Slightly afraid but soon regaining composure I said, "It's just, you look lonely." She looked at the ground. I continued, "You don't have to be lonely." She was still looking at the ground but I could see a small smile on her face. She took a deep breath, like she was preparing herself to not be afraid. She said, "Okay, well where would I be going?" I smiled widely. "Well, right now I'm actually on the way to a concert." A faint smile appeared on her face. Her eyes lit up. "Really? Whose?" I grinned as I said, "My own actually." Her jaw dropped, and her eyes widened. She flinched, automatically looking insecure. How could someone so beautiful be insecure? Even though I had just met her, it broke my heart to see her this way. "I know. I look more like a lawyer, huh?" I joked to make her feel more comfortable. I gestured to my green hair and pointed to my tattoos. The girl smiled and laughed softly. She looked different when she laughed. She had looked scary and vulnerable before, but now she seemed almost happy. Damn, She was beautiful. Then it struck my mind. I had made her happy. I couldn't contain the smile on my face. I had lost all words at her beauty, and when I asked, "What's your name?" it only sounded like a squeak. I heard a slight giggle. She looked at me and said, "Kate." I stepped out of the car and extended my arms to hug her, and once I had wrapped her in my embrace I said, "Well Kate, I'm Michael, and it's very nice to meet you." She buried her face into my shoulder. I could feel her tears fall onto my shirt. She mumbled into my shoulder softly, "No ones hugged me in years." I placed my cheek on the top of her head, and hugged her a little harder. She looked up at me, my arms still around her waist. I could feel a tear streaming down my face. I said protectively as I looked directly into her eyes, "They have now."
