I stared up at the chick who sat in a chair next to my bed. She had light skin with freckles, and long, ginger hair. Her hazel eyes were beautiful... and I felt like I've heard her voice somewhere.
"Erik. You have to remember something. Anything."She said, she calmed me so much... her voice encouraged me, it made me want to keep going.
"I... sort of remember your voice..?"I gave her an awkward smile, she facepalmed. "Yeah. I have that effect on people."She told me."Okay... you've met all your friends- we did memory excersizes. And your still blank on... everything."
"I haven't met you."I mentioned.
"Right, I'm Valentina, Daughter of Asmodeus."She shook my hand all formal-like. I felt jittery when she did that, in a good way, though."Why are you...working with me so late?"I asked, staring at the clock on the wall.
"Sadly, It's my job, Owl-boy."Valentina grinned. Suddenly, one of my supposed "friends" walked in. I forget her name... Ally- No, Aella. It was Aella."I've got an errand from my mother."Aella slammed a paper on a nearby desk. She gave me a "Do you remember me yet?"look before organazing some pens.
Valentina walked over, staring at the paper, I was pretty sure it just read the basics of the stupid errand.
"I think I know who Octavia is... but I don't think he can go yet. He can't remember a thing..."Valentina had tried to whisper... but I heard it."What's so bad about some dumb errand?"I asked, standing up. I was less dizzy than when I first woke up. Yay. Progress.
"It isn't just some 'dumb errand', Erik. We have to dive into the depths of Hell."Aella told me. "Oh,"I mumured, sitting back down.
Valentina must have seen my expression, how bad I felt at the moment, because she ushered Aella out. "We need sleep. Let's take this quest to tommorow."Valentina closed the door."Thanks."I said, sitting back down on my infirmary bed.
"Hey, that's what friends do for eachother, right?"Valentina asked, sitting next to me."I feel so... dumb around everyone here. Everyone knows me or has a grudge against me, and I don't know why. I still don't get this demon thing, either."I put my hands in the aviator jacket I was wearing's pockets. Everyone kept telling me that I was a "hero" for eating an apple. Somehow it really helped out my quest. People praised me for something I didn't even remember... or they yelled at me for not completeing a quest.
It had been an hour since Aella walked in.
I stared at the clock on the wall. I just couldn't sleep. Probably because I was nocturnal, but also because I was anxious. Valentina had already left by now, I was alone. I stood up, walking towards the window. I stared at the night sky. Why did I have to lose my stupid memory? Ugh. Everyone was trying to help me. So far, nothing. I must have been one awesome guy to have so many people trying to get me back.
