The Children of Death:Book Three, Lilith's Request

  I had to admit, I was excited for my quest.

   As I packed the essentials I kept thinking about people only wanted me for my looks... for my healing. But now, I could show them how I'm also a good fighter. Sort of. Well, I kind of sucked at sword fighting. Close-up combat wasn't my thing. I liked archery, probably since Jade usually put me on guard-duty. But now, I finally had a job. Watching over Erik. Helping him get his memory back. And, lemme tell ya, we had no progress. None. The dude couldn't remember a thing. I sighed, putting mortal money into my backpack. I was ready to go.

   As I exited my cabin my fellow children of Asmodeus said their goodbyes.
"Don't have too much fun without us."Enzo La Rosa punched my arm affectionately.
"Don't die out there!"Ameilia Hayes called over. "Gee, Thanks."I muttered, leaving and closing the door behind me.

  I walked towards the gates, everyone else seemed to be there. Erik had black jeans with a blue and white varsity jacket, his black and white hair was ruffled. That Loona friend of his had given him his sword back, it was in it's sheathe. Aella stood there, she'd cut her hair since last summer, I remembered her having a bob-cut. Now, she had a short side-parted haircut. Aella wore a white tee-shirt, blue jeans, and black combat boots. Standing next to her was Octavia, she had chestnut coloured skin, long brown hair, a blue and white striped button up, and high-rise wide leg black pants.
"Are you guys just gonna stand there, or are you gonna leave?"Jade asked, yawning.
"Oh, right."Aella exited through the gates, followed by me, and then Octavia, and lastly Erik.

     The gates behind us closed, leaving me to stare into the city in front of us, thinking about this quest.
"Alright. We don't have a deadline. But we need to make this quick. Were plunging into the depths of hell and gathering my mother's crown. Understand?"Aella asked.
"Not really..."Erik muttered, fiddling with his thumbs. Aella just kept walking, we all followed.

   As we walked into the city, I wondered what it was like to be a mortal. To be normal. To not treat every moment in your life as if your about to be attacked. Aella stopped in her tracks.
"What is it?"I asked.
"Did you hear that?"Aella looked around. I listened for a bit, and sure enough I heard a laugh that went alon the lines of "MAHAHAHAHAH!" The mortals didn't seem to care.
"That doesn't sound good. Hurry, follow me."Aella sprinted, we all followed.

   She lead us to the nearest building, a musuem that was closed at the moment. We all ran inside, but the noise got closer.
"MAHAHAHAHAH!!!"It got louder and louder until... Erik burst out into laughter.

"Erik?"I asked, turning around. He was on the ground, a skinny human-like creature used it's long claws to tickle him. "I- C-CAN'T BREATHE!"Erik wheezed, laughter pouring out of his mouth. Feathers sprouted out of his skin, I'd heard he could do that. But he seemed terrified that he was growing feathers.
"MAHAHAHAHA!!!"The creature howled, it had grey-ish blue skin with long black hair.

"What. Is. That?!"Octavia asked, finally speaking up.
"A Mahaha! Known for tickling their victims to death!"Aella unsheathed her bronze sword.
  Erik struggled to take his sword out of it's scabbard, he laughed harder and harder.

"Tickle tickle..."The Mahaha whispered in a horrifying voice. I quickly took out my bow, nocking an arrow in it and aiming at the Mahaha's head. Suddenly, something pounced on me, my bow flew out of my hands, the arrow shot at a chandlier, making it fall. I looked at what pounced on me, it was another Mahaha! It began to tickle me with it's long claws, I burst out laughing.
"H-HELP ME!"I yelled, laughing. "Don't worry, I'll-"Aella was cut off, she was now on the ground too, a Mahaha tickling her. Dang it. Our most powerful person was down. What were we gonna do now?
