Great. Just great. Another quest from a demon. Could I get one second to enjoy a nice croissant? I looked up at Oriens, his sorrowful face was almost funny to me.
"What do we get in return?"I wondered.
"Hmmmmm... Jewels?"Oriens asked, casually summoning a handful of red rubies and gold in his hands.
"Yes."All of us Demi-demons said in unison.
"I'll need a small favor for all of these, though."Oriens smiled."What's the favor?"Erik asked.
"Build me a shrine at that camp of yours, I want to be recognized. The cabin just isn't doing it."The king of the East told us, we all nodded, and then went on our way to find... an elephant.A zoo was nearby... we just... needed to steal a whole elephant. Yup. Couldn't be too hard. But maybe... just maybe... we could manipulate all of the mortals vision. We had to sneak into the cage, which was easy enough. I was forced to persuade the guards, though.
"So, you come here often?"I asked, I eyed my friends, who were pick-locking the lock.
"I work here."Answered the guard.
"Well, Your... really pretty."I told her, the guard gave me a stare. She was about to turn around, but I stopped.
"LIKE- Really really really... really... really"I paused, looking over at my friends. Erik mouthed "Keep going!"
"Really, really, really, REALLY, really... really... REALLY REALLY REALLY-" I looked back at Erik, he put his hand up as a way to tell me to stop."Pretty."I finished, the guard sighed, and walked away. "Ladies first."Octavia looked over at Erik, smirking.
Erik rolled his eyes, opening the gate. We all snuck inside.
Surprisingly, elephants don't stomp when they walk. This was gonna be easy. Erik took a rock from his pocket(Yes, a rock.) and threw it at an elephant.
"ERIK!"I yelled at him, he put up his hands like he was surrendering. The elephant trumpeted its trunk, charging at us. I climbed up the beautiful creature's leg, nearly falling off.
"Get on!"I called to them.Octavia went up first, then Erik reluctantly climbed, like he had bad memories about elephants. Aella stared up at the elephant, like it would stomp on her.
"You getting on?"I asked, Aella gulped. "I-I'll walk."She said.
"Aella... are you... scared of heights?"Octavia sounded like she was choking down a laugh.
"QUIET!"Aella yelled up at Octavia, closing her eyes. She soon she inched her way up, clinging onto my back. "Do NOT speak of this again."She ordered.
"Now, How do I... steer this?"I asked, the elephant wouldn't budge. Erik grinned, "Allow me."
I did not like that face.Erik sat in front of me, so that the order went Erik, Valentina, Aella, and then Octavia. Why did this matter? Because Aella was whispering this order to herself. Ew. Counting was calming to her? No thanks. I'll stick with reading. Math is the worst. Erik screeched as loud as he could into the elephants ear. I giggled. The elephant trumpeted, stomping off.
"I like the way you think, Owl boy."I told him, he smiled.
