"A British man talking about how the Declaration of Independence was important and great. I almost laughed, but was not able to hold back giggles. Dad also looked incredibly amused by that. Britain would probably be getting a call from Dad laughing about this."

"Okay, you guys can try to listen in, but you have to be quiet. You can't let Dad know you are listening," America said to the states, eager to hear him make fun of his dad.

"Sure thing, Dad," Massachusetts said. America raised an eyebrow.

"I mean it, Mass." He said. Massachusetts groaned.

"Do you not trust me to be quiet?" He asked.

"Do you want me to answer that?"

"No, not really. Just call Britain and make fun of him already."

America rolled his eyes and called Dad.

"Hello?"

"Hi, Dad! Remember how Winston Churchill was coming to my country to give a speech?"

"Yes, why?"

"So in his speech, he starts talking about important documents in the English-speaking world and how they proclaim freedom and the rights of man."

"Okay, does this have something to do with...uh...your independence?" His dad said hesitantly.

"Well, he did say Magna Carta, the Bill of Rights, the Habeas Corpus, trial by jury, and English common law find their most famous expression in the Declaration of Independence," America said. There was silence on the other end. "Dad, I never knew you thought so highly of the document I disowned you with."

"Seriously? Do you have to do this?"

"I mean, I know it's an absolutely amazing document, and my people and I love it, but you? I never knew you liked it."

"Winston Churchill doesn't speak my opinions."

"But he does think it's such an amazing and important document that really changed the English-speaking world."

"I'm never going to hear the end of this, am I?"

"Nope!"

"Good night, America," Dad said before he hung up. America snickered.

Massachusetts said, "If I ever meet him in person, that's going to be the first thing I mention."

"Please do it, he'll hate that."
