19) My Vow to You

"Time to get ready, the wedding is in two hours."

He allowed the kids to help him get ready and Sia was excited to let her papa dress her in a pretty purple dress with white booties and her long hair pulled up in a bun with a flower in it (courtesy of Rhea.) "You ready to be a flower girl Ambrosia?"

"Yeah! Flower!" Since she's young her flower sounds more like fwower. They decided that Ambrose would be the first at the altar, he really wanted to see Jax walk in, Jax wouldn't understand it, but it means a lot to Ambrose, it shows that Jax is willingly coming to him, that he can be sought after too, not only Ambrose seeking Jax. He thought he was ready, but when Jax walked through the canopy of their wedding venue his heart stopped and Gemini had to put a hand on Ambrose's back.

"Breathe Brose."

Ambrose tries to get as much oxygen in his lungs, but it refuses to enter, every breath expelled at the sight of his soon-to-be husband. Jax must notice his conflict because he grins, and mouths breathe darling. Athrhea takes his hand and puts it in Ambrose's with a smile, "You know what to do."

The gorgeous lavender dress she is wearing really shows off her baby bump and the parents-to-be again look very proud of it, she goes to stand behind Jax as his Maiden of Honor as Laci pulls Tarver over to sit in her lap, for the time being, giving him easier access to the aisle to get the rings when the time comes. "Hey Amby," Jax grins.

"Hi," Ambrose squeaks in return making Jax take his hand and use his thumb to write on his palm Luv U. It instantly calms his nerves just as Jax intended. The Priest did his introduction and entering prayer, but Ambrose wasn't that focused, to be honest.

"I have been asked to read aloud a passage describing the couple." Ambrose looks to Jax confusedly, but he only returns the look. "'The couple who stand before you today have seen the roughest of winds and the most callous of seas, despite the tempest in which they have been thrust into they have come out together with a strong and magnificent love. I cannot think of a more fitting love to fit the phrase 'love can survive anything,' this pair has seen heartbreak, death, and torture and yet they emerge from the shadows with a light that radiates from them and an aura of tranquility. Torture tears people apart, and ruins lives, Jaxin and Ambrose have broken that stereotype and bonded themselves tighter than the atoms that we are made of. No pain could separate a love as such they have, no toils can end the determination they have for each other, and no force, neither heaven nor hell, can break them down when they have each other. The world is not fair nor kind, these two see that yet it does not deter them from their love nor make them doubt the other, despite the darkness that surrounds them they always manage to shine brighter. To love this strong may nothing separate them from their eternal happiness.' Well, that was beautiful, and the vocabulary of this writer is exemplary. Care to identify yourself?"

Everyone looks to Rhea, no one has such grace and eloquence to their words as she does, however she shakes her head. "I did not write that."

"I did," Tarver announces.

Everyone stares at the six-year-old, stunned that such a young child can write such a beautiful passage. "Well, I have never seen such talent. From what I see that is a very accurate passage, the love between these two people is impossible to miss. That speech does part of my job so let us move on to our vows, who desire-"

"Me!" Jax shouts. "I, uh, I want to go first." He clears his throat and takes a deep breath before speaking again. "I think this is a mistake-"

Ambrose's heart stops- "is the first thing I thought when I kissed you, I thought it was a mistake that I had these feelings for you, it didn't feel right at first because I had never felt that way. I see now how naïve that was of me because as I stand here now I see just how much you've changed me; I have never known a love like this, and it terrified me at first; you changed me Ambrose and I'm not scared anymore. I'm not that nineteen-year-old boy that I was when we met, I'm a twenty-six-year-old man who has the most wonderful man in front of me, the man who I want to spend the rest of my life with, there is no doubt in my mind that you are the best thing to ever happen to me and that is not a mistake. We are not a mistake, we may have started by an accident, but it is not a mistake, it is the luckiest accident because I finally feel like I belong somewhere; you have given me a home and for that, I give you all my love. We've had our troubles, I regret things I've said or done, but I wouldn't take our troubles back because it led us here. You've made me crazy since Trouble first introduced us and I roomed with you so Rhett and Ace could have their Babe Cave, I was nervous to sleep near you, not because I was afraid you'd jump me, but the opposite. You make me throw caution to the wind because I'm not afraid to dive headfirst into things with you, I know you'll be there to catch me. You've intrigued me from the beginning and always made me smile, I loved being Lonely Buddies but who knew we wouldn't be lonely anymore with each other. I was confused about my feelings, you made me feel so safe and happy that I mistook it for gratitude, I don't think most people start a make-out session with someone to show gratitude. After that is when I realized it wasn't intrigue anymore, it was serious like, then it was love and it scared me to death when you had that schizophrenic episode, I thought I was going to lose you before I even had you. There are a million things about you that I love; show me your darkest shadows and I'll show you mine, take my hand Ambrose and we'll get through them together. I have made a million mistakes in my life, but we-you, are never one of them. I love you."
