"I hope she finds someone as amazing as you darling."

2998

Ambrose sighs as he hands another tissue to his sobbing husband, gently rubbing his shoulders. "Babe—"

"Don't 'babe' me! I'm not ready for this! My only daughter—who is only sixteen—has a boyfriend!"

"Not yet, we haven't met him remember," Ambrose reminds him. When Sia mentioned there was this guy she was interested in and he asked her out her parents said they had to meet this boy before he was allowed to date their daughter, they knew this was going to happen eventually, but Jax is distraught. "He'll be coming around seven, so you need to pull yourself together. How about you take a shower to calm down?"

"Only if you come with me," Jax sniffles.

Ambrose sighs but obliges to make Jax feel better. Sia walked past them on their way upstairs and was frowning. "Why is Dad crying?"

"He's sad that you're growing up and getting interested in guys."

"I'm fine Dad, you have to let me grow up, I'm still your daughter, but I'm not a baby anymore. Please don't be crying when Daxton comes over, I don't want to scare him off."

"You should prepare him because the entire family is going to be here tonight," Jax relays and Sia pales.

"Everyone? All the aunts, uncles, and cousins?"

"Yep."

Sia drops her head. "So much for not scaring him off."

When she walks off Jax and Ambrose resume their trek upstairs and into the shower where Jax initiates things that made them flush when they left their room and not from the steam in the bathroom. An hour later they are dressed nicely, well Jax in ripped jeans and a white tank top that shows the outline of the tattoo on his chest and Ambrose in his leather gear. He didn't want to scare the kid off, but he did want to put some friction out there, the parents were stunned when their daughter came out of her room with a simple purple dress on and her hair combed back nicely, light shadowing on her eyes. "You look beautiful Sia."

"Thank you," she grins at Ambrose. The doorbell to the Highrise rings and Sia shakily walks to the door to open it smiling at the boy with a floral bouquet in his hands. "Thank you."

"You look gorgeous," her date whispers shyly. When Sia let him in and turned to put the flowers in a vase a massive blush is lighting her cheeks and neck, the kid waits for Sia to return, and she takes him over to her dads.

"Daxton, these are my dads, Ambrose and Jaxin, Dad, Sire, this is Daxton West," she introduces.

Daxton sticks his hand up and grips Ambrose's firmly. "It's a pleasure to meet you Sir, and thank you for having me over, this house is beautiful."

He turns to Jax and shakes his hand as well. "Nice to meet you too."

"My entire family is here," she whispers to Daxton, "I tried to get them to call off the cavalry, but it didn't work. Don't let them scare you, my dads will try to be scary but they're really not, they just want to protect me. You will want to watch out for my cousins, they are crazy, and my Aunt Rhea she's the one you should be scared of. She still scares me."

"I do not scare you, Ambrosia," Rhea says, mock hurt on her face as she joins the little party with Gemini behind her, a hand on her waist. She sticks her hand out to Daxton with a smile. "I am the scary aunt, Athrhea. Nice to meet you Daxton."

Everyone laughs as Daxton shakes Rhea's hand dazedly, getting caught up in her beauty.

Gemini takes his turn as he pulls her behind him. "I'm Gemini, her husband."

"Sorry. Nice to meet you," he blushes.

"I know she's gorgeous, right?"

Rhea hits her husband gently on the arm as Daxton turns back to Sia. "You'll only boost their egos, they're inflated enough," she says.

"I plead the fifth."

Rhea laughs. "Are you a law student or something?"

"No Ma'am, my dad is a lawyer, so he talks about it a lot."

"Which firm?"

"I think Scholtz & Baker. His name is Julies West."

"Jules?" Rhea gasps. "No way! Jules and I have worked on several cases, thank God he is a prosecution lawyer, he is amazing and has great tactics. We are working a case this week actually, tell him Athrhea said hi."

"I will Ma'am."

"Let me show you around the house before dinner," Sia interjects glaring at her aunt who shrugs and walks away with her daughter. "I'm sorry about them, they're overbearing."

"No, I like it, it's cool you have all these people who care so much about you. I just hope they like me because I really like you, Ambrosia," Daxton breathes and tucks her hair behind her ear, Ambrose's daughter is positively beaming as she smiles back at him.

"I really like you too Daxton."

Before either of them can get closer Jax shouts, "Hands off my daughter! There will be no touching!"

"Babe," Ambrose chastises. "Let her be, they're not doing anything. You've got to let her live or she's going to be miserable, can't you see how happy she is? Don't take that away from her."

When Ambrose turns around Sia is looking at him with a fragile smile and mouths thank you, he nods back at her and jerks his head to the side telling her to go on. In a brave move, she takes Daxton's hand and they set off to explore the house. "He looks like a good kid," Jax sighs with his arms wrapped around his husband. "I don't like it."

"Would you rather her be with someone shady? I know it's hard, but it's the right thing to do. Don't you want her to find a love like ours and be as happy as we are?"

"Yeah. I hope she finds someone as amazing as you darling. Now call them back here because dinner is ready, and I don't trust him."
