"Leaving him frozen in their wake."
♡
Couples therapy has been helping them, Ambrose still gets shut off, but Jax is better equipped to handle it now, instead of getting irritated or offended he's understanding and patient. True to Dr. Lansdown's words Ambrose was more receptive to his help when he was gentle and patient, that doesn't mean that sometimes Jax doesn't snap at Ambrose, which he regrets when he does. Ambrose just woke up and Jax hugged him and kissed him all over his face with a smile before getting out of bed and going down to make breakfast, he was thinking they could go to the beach together, have a little vacay away from the family. He was going through the idea in his head when he heard a loud crash upstairs. "Amby? Are you okay?"
"Sorry Jaxin, I accidentally knocked the chair over!" Gemini shouts and calms his nerves; every little sound worries him now. The next sound, however, can be placated by no reassurance. He hits the OFF button on the stove before diving up the stairs and into their room, utterly terrified not even coming close to what he was feeling. He nearly breaks the door to get it open and blanches when he does.
Ambrose is by their bed with a gun in his hand, aimed at the corner of the wall with wide eyes. "Ambrose, give me the gun."
"Get out," he hisses. "Go!"
"No, are you crazy? I'm not leaving. Now would you put the damn gun down and tell me what is going on—" before he can finish the sentence he sees what the trouble is, in the corner is a massive scorpion which is now only twitching. "Damn."
Rhea comes up behind Jax with her hands closing her robe, no doubt having been the reason Gemini knocked over that chair. "What happened, I heard the gunshot. Are you okay?"
Jax jerks his head to the corner and understanding dawns on Rhea's face, she sees how shook Ambrose is and gently eases past Jax to stand in front of Ambrose. "Hey, Brose. Are you okay? You are not hurt are you?"
He shakes his head gently. "No."
"Good, let's get you out of here and I will get rid of the skeleton. Jax was making breakfast, go wait down with him while he cooks. If you ask nicely he may even cook shirtless," she whispers, and Jax beams at her when Ambrose smiles and bites his lip. "Jax, ditch the shirt, huh."
Screw it, he thinks and takes Ambrose's hands and puts them at the hem of his shirt. "You want it off, then you take it off."
He wastes no time in getting Jax's shirt off and he pulls him out of the room and shuts the door behind him, closing Rhea off in their room but she can get out. He doesn't question it as Ambrose pushes him into the bathroom and locks the door, lifting him up on the counter and continuing to ravage his neck with his teeth and his torso with his hands. They were so caught up in their bodies that they didn't notice someone was in the shower and that someone is a girl. "GET OUT!"
They break apart hastily and gawk at Maezie who is standing in the shower with nothing but a towel around her. Just as they're reaching for the handle a fist bangs on the door. "Ay blondie! Are you almost done? I've gotta shower too! Hold up—what in the bloody hell are you two doing in there while she's in the shower?!"
The door opens and Ascelin pushes them out of the way with a disgusted look. "By the gods, if you're going somewhere to be naked go back to your room. Did no one tell you that it's rude to have sex on public surfaces? Get out."
Jax and Ambrose scramble out of the bathroom and downstairs laughing. "Well that was fun," Ambrose smiles. "But let's not do it again."
"Oh you're no fun Amby, fine, then come help me fix breakfast."
