Opening (Part 2)

The opening was going great, very great. Jiang's diner already made a thousand taels in the past three hours. It was so busy that Tang Shushui had to go out of the kitchen to help serve since he already finished cooking for the day.

"Madam Jiang, may I know where you got your makeup done? It looks very pretty. The color of your eyebrows is still so light after being drawn." A woman asked curiously.

"No need to be so polite Madam. I did my makeup, I didn't think it looked good. Thank you for the compliment." Tang Shushui responded politely.

"Oh my, this may sound rude but would you mind doing mine?" The lady asked, with the fear of rejection on her face.

Immediately after hearing that many other ladies that were seated near the table asked for their makeup and their hair to be done too. Tang Shushui would be a fool to not take this to his advantage and make more money.

"Actually, ladies I will be opening a 'Salon' and a 'Boutique' sometime later and I would love it if you visited." Tang Shushui responded but left some information out so that they would ask on their own accord and that he would explain it to them without slighting them.

"What is a 'Salon' and a 'Boutique'?" The ladies asked confused.

"A 'Salon' is where you can get your hair and makeup done whilst a 'Boutique' is where you buy things such as clothes, accessories, makeup, and shoes.' Tang Shushui explained patiently.

"Oh really? Then I will be the first one to visit your 'Salon' and 'Boutique'. My name is Bai Feng Jiu by the way." She said as she politely shook hands with Tang Shushui.

"Then I will be looking forward to it." Tang Shushui responded as he politely shook her hands.

Another hour has passed and the restaurant was still crowded. Jiang's dinner made another thousand taels. Seeing the time Tang Shushui decided to announce what he was going to announce. So he went down Dandelion venue first, he then stood in the middle of the hall signifying he was about to say something.

"I want to first thank everybody that came to my opening day and I hope you all had a wonderful feast. I want to talk about the workings of the restaurant so that your next experience is easier." Tang Shushui announced catching the attention of the people.

"When you first walk into the restaurant you will go to the front desk which is handled by my brother Haoyu. You will give your name and will be asked which venue you want. We respect your privacy and won't ask you outright about your financial class, you will tell them which venue you want or can afford. It doesn't matter if you are in the Dandelion venue as long as you can afford the rose venue you can go there." Tang Shushui states.

"After you tell the front desk which venue you want you will be given a piece of cloth with the flower of the venue you chose embroidered in it and the number of your table so that we could keep everything on track." Tang Shushui resumed earning some eyes of admiration.

"When you are at your table you can call over a waiter that is not busy to help you with whatever you are stuck with. This restaurant will not discriminate on your shortcomings, however, if that does happen when you are going out of the restaurant you can report it to the exit desk (Because the front desk has no antonyms I will be using exit desk if you do have any suggestion please tell me.) while going out and we will take care of it so please do not start a fight or a commotion." Tang Shushui continued.

"If you have a favorite waiter or waitress you can pay for her or him to wait on you. That would be fifteen copper coins an hour. However, you can not touch our waiters and waitresses without consent. If you do I will report it to the yamen." Tang Shushui stated his voice dropping a little bit causing some people to fear.

"If you have a birthday or a celebration we can decorate your table and make a cake for you if you pay. We will however give free cookies when it's your birthday, so please come with your birth certificate to avoid scamming and in order to receive your free cookies." Tang Shushui explained.

"As you can see that there are windows on the left backside of the restaurant's building. Those are for carts, if you do not drive a cart please do not go there and if you see someone going there please advise them not to. If you have a cart and do not wish to go inside you can order your food by the window. It's called a Drive-thru." Tang Shuhsui continues to explain making the people in the Dandelion venue admire him more.(sorry modern fast-food restaurants)

"There will also be deliveries. There will be multiple stalls from Jiang's diner situated around town. You will go to these stalls and order what you want and that information will be given to us and we will send your order to you. You will pay according to your distance. Don't forget to review when you eat or order from our restaurant. We have one star to five stars, one star being horrible, and five stars being amazing. Your reviews and suggestions will be posted on our front desk. Thank you again for coming tonight, I hope you have a lovely night." Tang Shushui finished up his explanation earning a round of applause from the audience.

After that, he went to every venue and talked to them bout the rules and regulations, the restaurant's working, and the perks of it. Many people showed looks of amazement and showed some interest in cooperating, but one thing was for sure was that this opening night was a major success.

The opening was finally over around nine o'clock and Jiang's diner made about five thousand dollars tonight alone. The Jiang family was shocked with their earnings but Tang Shushui looked unfazed. He then called over his employees and gave them all ten taels because all of them did wonderfully without any training, they were all thankful. He then reminded them to come to training tomorrow morning. After that, the family packed and went back to the inn.
