Since his arrival at the restaurant Tang Shushui has already forgotten about the irrelevant Wan couple. He and Jiang Yanwei were here for a date and he wouldn't let anybody ruin it. So as soon as they got to the restaurant and ordered, they focused solely on each other.
"Honey, what do you think we should name our daughter?" Jiang Yanwei asked gently as he put some veggies on Tang Shushui's plate.
"Babe, don't you think you're a little too biased? What if it turns out that the baby is a ger or a boy?" Tang Shushui chuckle as he ate the food on his plate.
"What bias? I genuinely think that it's a daughter." Jiang Yanwei responded firmly.
"Seeing you talk like this means you already had a name in mind right?" Tang Shushui replied.
"My wife really knows me, ah!" Jiang Yanwei flattered, but he himself felt even more flattered for having a wife that knows him like this.
"Spill," Tang Shushui ordered.
"Okay, so I was thinking between Mingzhu meaning bright pearl, or Zhihao as in brave, heroic, and chivalrous," Jiang Yanwei hurriedly admitted.
"You're right it is difficult to choose between such good names but I like Zhihao more. Though I want to spoil my baby and give them the best life I can give, I want them to be able to care of themselves when I'm no longer around," Tang Shushui explained carefully.
"Me too, so I guess Zhihao it is then!" Jiang Yanwei responded happily. The smile on his face was so giddy that it would melt any heart. Tang Shushui couldn't help but realize once again that now he wasn't just in love with the idea of being with this man anymore. He was genuinely in love with Jiang Yanwei now. He wanted to live happily with man.
"I love you," Tang Shushui blurted, which shocked Jiang Yanwei. This was not the first time his wife had said this to him, but the previous times were like he was saying it so as to not be abandoned, but this time the emotion in his voice was so raw, there was no way he was lying. Jiang Yanwei couldn't help but tear up thinking about the fact that his wife had finally opened up his heart to him.
"Sorry, could you please repeat that again?" Jiang Yanwei asked, his voice choked.
"I love you, I really really love you," Tang Shushui responded with a smile as he wiped his husband's face. His husband was much more sensitive than he thought. For him to be able to differentiate the difference between his previous I love yous and the current I love you meant that his husband really had him in his heart.
"I love you too. I really love you too," Jiang Yanwei sobbed in into the handkerchief.
"Babe if you cry so much, people will think I bullied you," Tang Shushui joked.
"So? Is it their business?" Jiang Yanwei responded before going back to sobbing.
After Jiang Yanwei calmed down, the two continued their date. The rest of the afternoon was spent talking and joking around with each other. Though the two were normally lovey-dovey, today it was like they shed a layer. Their movements were lighter, the smiles were brighter, and they were even more lovey-dovey. Everyone at the restaurant was fed dog food whether they liked it or not. After their date ended, news about how in love the Jiang couple was spread. Some people also spread the news about how Jiang Yanwei was a henpecked husband while others defended him saying that he just knew how to dote on his wife. All in all, by that afternoon many people knew about this couple and decided to visit the restaurant for gossip but ended up staying for the food. Thanks to the publicity Tang Shushui's new dessert menu ended up exploding in popularity.
The couple in question was currently at home eating a feast with their family. Under the guidance of Tang Shushui Auntie Fu learned some recipes and was able to cook food that tasted very close to Tang Shushui's cooking. So Tang Shushui did not have to worry about cooking again.
The Fu family had been working for their family for about a month now and the difference between how they were then and now was very vivid. The once malnourished Auntie Fu now had gained weight, and his skin had also improved. Uncle Fu was no longer hunched back and had also gained some weight. Fu Xiaosheng and Fu Wen looked more like children after being in the care of the Jiang family. As for Fu Suyin who even made Tang Shushui cry for how skinny he was, had now gained weight. He was now lean and healthy. His face was now white and there were barely any blemishes. After taking care of himself under Tang Shushui's care Fu Suyin was considered a beauty with his big doe eyes, straight nose, and long eyelashes.
"Auntie Fu, I heard you went to find a matchmaker for Suyin today. Did you find a match?" Tang Shushui asked curiously.
"No, all the men the matchmaker introduced to me were all horrible matches. They are looking down on my Suyin because he is a servant!" Auntie Fu responded with a bad tone.
"Well, Suyin do you want to get married right away or do you want to wait and get to know some people?" Tang Shushui asked Fu Suyin.
"I want to get married by I want to take my time to get to know the person I am marrying. Kind of like an engagement?" Fu Suyin responded honestly.
"Then I have someone in mind for you. His name is Tong Donghai, sixteen years old, he is the food and beverage manager at the restaurant. His salary is one tael and five hundred wen not counting his bonuses and tips. He's an only son and his family consists of his dad and mom. He has the same idea as you when it comes to marriage, would you like to meet him?" Tang Shushui explained. Tong Donghai had asked him if he had any suitable match for him, and he had told him about Fu Suyin and Tong Donghai was not reluctant to meet him.
"I would like to meet him. Thank you master!" Fu Suyin thanked. Where else could he find such a suitable groom as a slave? For his master to help him so much was already a blessing. Because of the good news about the possible engagement, the mood was much more happier and for the rest of day, the family had a smile on their faces.
