After he got home, he immediately started experimenting with coffee to make a latte. His biggest challenge was the ice. With him in the red and opening a new boutique he cut back his spending in the restaurant and at home significantly. So buying so much ice every day was not an option. He knew how to make ice, but ice in this era was scarce, and only three major families managed its production, which meant that producing it would put him in danger.

He had already attracted hatred from numerous restaurant owners when his restaurant became popular, but the rise and fall of eating establishments were common so no one would act upon their hatred, especially in this county.

But ice was another matter. The families that produced it were extremely noble and strictly managed its production, so if he were to come out and produce ice, these noble families would never spare him. Yes as an assassin he could defend himself very well and was not worried about getting killed, but he had a family to think about now, especially his newborn daughters. He did not want to put them in danger for momentary gain or any gain for that mother.

So his best option now was to find a powerful backer and hand it over to them while he took part as a shareholder. The problem was that all of his noble friends were noble ladies who would not take part in business. If he gave it to them they might just hand it over to their husbands or brothers, and that would be fine but in this time and day which men would let a ger get so many benefits from a business? So he needed someone who would be actively involved and would be willing to give him a sizeable amount of benefits.

As he was deep in thought a groggy voice rang out, "Baby you've been experimenting all afternoon, it's night now, you need to come to bed." Yanwei said gently as he encircled his arm around Tang Shushui's waist.

"Miss me?" Tang Shushui teased, soft laughter escaping from his cherry lips. His husband had become so clingy since his confession, which caused him to tease him often.

Jiang Yangwei pulled him into a tight hug, a playful smile on his lips. "How could I miss you when you're always right here?" he said, tapping his chest gently.

Tang Shushui was amused by his husband's cheesy lines and laughed.

"Okay let's go to bed now honey, you know I can't sleep without you," Jiang Yanwei confessed.

Tang Shuhui laughed, his eyes sparkling with amusement, as he stared at his husband's half-open eyelids, "Is that so? So how did you sleep without me then?"

He tilted his head in confusion, his eyes softening as he gazed into his, "Sleep? Without you? That's just a nap, my love," he whispered, his voice full of warmth and affection as he nuzzled into his wife's neck.

"Shameless! You seem quite well-rested to me," Tang Shushui responded, his voice carrying a hint of playfulness.

His smile widened, and he turned Tang Shushui around, his arms tightening around his waist. "That's because I spent the afternoon dreaming of you," he said, his voice carrying a subtle tremor, revealing the sincerity of his emotions.

Feeling the sincerity in his words, Tang Shushui's teasing tone softened. "You're impossible, you know that?" Tang Shushui said as he encircled his husband's neck.

As if not understanding, he leaned in, his forehead resting against Tang Shushui's, his eyes filled with adoration. "Impossible not to love you more each day," he murmured in response, every word dripping with genuine affection.

Tang Shushui's heart melted as he cupped his husband's sleepy face in his hands. "And here I thought you'd finally admit to missing me." He said, still teasing.

With his eyes half closed, Jiang Yanwei chuckled, his voice filled with mischief and love. "I don't have to admit it when it's written all over my face," he said, leaning in to kiss him softly, the gesture full of tenderness and passion, before his eyes completely shut.

Tang Shushui felt his heart melt into a puddle. Once a cold and ruthless assassin, he had lived a life steeped in darkness and pain. But his husband, this man who stood before him now, had slowly and tenderly repaired his shattered soul, mending it piece by fragile piece. With each passing day, Tang Shushui found himself falling deeper and deeper in love, his heart brimming with emotions he had never known before.

Looking at his drowsy husband, he softly pecked his eyes, before slowly dragging him to bed.

"You're so sleepy so just sleep," Tang Shushui whispered, as he tried to fix him on the bed.

Yanwei smiled drowsily, allowing Tang Shushui to fix him, his arms still loosely wrapped around his waist. "Only if you stay with me," he murmured, his voice trailing off as he once again closed his eyes.

Tang Shushui smiled at his words, and tenderly tucked him into bed, brushing a stray lock of hair from his forehead. "Always," he responded softly, climbing in beside him. He snuggled close, and held Yanwei, feeling his steady breaths as he quickly fell asleep, a peaceful smile lingering on his lips.

After he walked up the next day he got up and cooked for his husband, since his husband had taken the role of a house husband and him a working wife they hadn't had much time for themselves. Today they decided to to leave the twin girls with their grandmothers and go on a date. For now, Haohao and his husband took over for Tang Shushui as he hung out with his husband.

As they went into Zhenyu Baozhuang to buy some jewelry they met the forgotten Tang Chang An, and he was very different. Gone were the plain clothes and arrogant green tea demeanor they remembered. Instead, he was adorned in an exquisite green hanfu, the fabric shimmering in the sunlight with every movement. Delicate patterns of gold thread adorned the edges, tracing intricate designs that spoke of elegance and refinement. With a maid standing by his side, helping him carry his jewelry. All of his movements were refined and gentle, it was so well practiced that if they did not know him they would have thought he was born a noble.

Tang Chan An is the stepbrother of the original Tang Shushui. Refer to the chapter "That's your brother-in-law"
