Good night...🫂"Hajarah it seems something is wrong with your head! How can your husband bring another woman to his house and claim she's his wife for three months now and you didn't inform anyone?! You think what you did was right to let yourself be humiliated like that?" Anty Safiya scolded.
"Please mama, I'm very sorry. Forgive me, I had no choice cause I think something is wrong with Yaya Ammar. He's changed so much" I muttered
"That was the main reason why I came here, I called him up cause he hasn't called me for those past two months and I wanted to scold him but what he said was, 'I'll call you back. You're interrupting my meeting'." I shook my head at the irony of life.
His own mother!"Mama please don't blame him, Ikram did something to him!" I finally said it out, phew
"What do you mean she did something to him? I know Ikram, she can't bewitch him or anything but she must have influenced him or maybe he just loves her too much more than he does his mother or even anyone now" I shook my head in disagreement.
"No mama, she told me about it herself!" I reasoned. "And all his actions prove such".
"No, she's just making claims. Ikram can't bewitch anyone! She's a nice and well cultured girl as far as I know her but the way she got into my son's house and is trying to ruin his marriage with you is what I don't understand".
"Exactly, how can he just fall in love with her overnight?". I was about to inform her about what happened on that night but we were rudely interrupted.
"Hey, who left the front door open?!" Ikram barged in muching on a bag of Lays.
Both Mama and I stared at her in astonishment. "Oh Good Afternoon Anty Safiya" She knelt down as soon she realized Mama's presence.
"What's good about the afternoon?! I heard about what happened. You secretly married my son and you're trying to ruin his first marriage?" She asked.
"Subhanallah Anty I will never do that. It was Yaya Ammar whom met me with the offer and you know how much I love him, I couldn't refuse and he told me to keep it a secret" I stared at her with wide eyes at how fast she's come up with this kind of lie.
"But you didn't think it was necessary to tell me? Or atleast your own mother whom I can't seem to reach her Indian line, what's wrong with her?".
"I left her at the hospital because I was called for work here so I had to fly back".
"Where is the Ammar?" Mama asked. "He's in his room upstairs, let me go and call him". She got up and rushed up the stairs
"Did you hear that, Mima? I know Ikram so well and she can't commit shirk. It's all Ammar's fault. How could he do this to you?" I could detect the anger in her tone while she was saying the last part.
Since she's refusing to believe that Ikram is behind everything that's happening, it's fine. I won't force her to. What hurts so much is that she trusts her more than she trust my words
Both she and Yaya Ammar came downstairs hand in hand and he greeted his mother. She got up and slapped him so hard which took us all by great shock.
"How could you get married so secretly without anyone's consent?! And then you told her not to tell anyone?!!"
"I'm sorry mama, forgive me but I didn't have a choice".
"Choice my foot! Your marriage with Mima isn't even up to a year and you've already gotten married again and now disrespecting your first wife? I didn't raise you like this!" She said disappointedly.
"Forgive me Mama. And I'm not disrespecting my first wife in any way. In fact she's the one whom is disrespecting me and my new wife. She always finds opportunities to humiliate us and call us all sorts of names, I still forgive her and treat the both of them equally" He lied and I gasped. What the heck?!
What I hated the most was how Mama looked at me disappointedly and quietly took her handbag and left the house.
"So you were trying to separate my husband and his mother?!" Ikram glared and I scoffed.
"You're such an unfortunate human being Ikram, first you committed shirk and now you made a mother angry and disappointed with her son all because of your own personal games how disgusting! You should go and take a look at the mirror to see how the word 'disgusting' is written all ov.. .." I didn't get to finish my sentence when I felt a heavy and piercing slap on my face. I raised my head to see it was Ikram and before I could retaliate, I felt a more painful one which was from Yaya Ammar.
"You shameless human! You're calling my wife unfortunate when that is actually your first name! If you have anything written all over you then it should be a WHORE! And that slap was for calling my mother here" He slapped me once again.
"This one, is for humiliating my wife and this one.." He slapped me again and pushed me to the floor. "It is for ever agreeing to marry me!" I possessively covered my stomach and he kicked my legs and hands which were covering my stomach.
Both him and Ikram heartlessly walked away and left me lying down on the floor in pain. I've never in my life felt so disrespected. I've never in my life been in this so much pain and agony. I've never in my life been taken advantage of and I couldn't retaliate and despite that, my love for Yaya Ammar is still there and might be increasing till forever
I didn't know I was crying till I felt tears rolling down on their own. I knew my strength for the past three months has been exhausted.
My baby..my poor baby, his father is trying to harm him without even knowing about his existence. Luckily, he didn't get to hit my stomach but I felt pain everywhere.
My heart sank when I remembered something buried deep in my heart.
"The way you insulted me today Hajarah, one day someone whom is nobody to you will insult you in your own husband's house and there will be nothing you can do about it!! Mark my words, that day will come!"
So the curse did it's work!....
I figured that some of how are really mad due to the sudden twist but y'all should please be calming down..😂🤧💔
I can't help but say life is not always a bed of roses..💀💀
