"You're telling me nothing went on between you two?"
Hana couldn't believe she was having this conversation. She stared blankly at her boyfriend. Why couldn't he see how much she was struggling?
"No, we were just friends," she said for the tenth time. "Can't I have friends?"
"You can," Changmin nodded, although Hana wanted to roll her eyes so badly. She didn't need his permission, so she didn't know why she asked, even rhetorically. "But you two were really close, now you're this upset-"
"What made you think otherwise?" The girl interrupted.
Her boyfriend stayed silent, and it was then that Taeyang's words came back to her.
Upon realisation, she let out a laugh. "Kim Sunwoo."
"No, it wasn't him." Changmin defended instantly, shaking his head as the girl talked over him.
She ranted and ranted to her hearts content, and for the first time he saw anger on her face instead of those sad, exhausted eyes. The more she talked, the angrier the boy got.
"You were always fucking together!" He snapped, not caring about his parents downstairs. "Every break you had you took it with him, studying or whatever the fuck you were doing. All of my friends-"
"Ah! There it is!" Hana chuckled, grabbing her bag as she flung on her hoodie.
"Babe," Changmin pleaded, jumping off of the bed. "Let's talk."
"We've talked enough," the girl shook her head, tears in her eyes. She noticed how he looked at her now, he was the one that was desperate for her attention.
Every time she had been here in the last couple of months, he barely looked at her.
"I can't be with someone who lies to me," Hana started. "I can't be with someone who won't even defend me in front of their friends. You let Kim Sunwoo walk all over me, why is that?"
"You've always had something between you," Changmin said quickly. "You've always hated each other, that has nothing to do with me."
The girl scoffed, shaking her head. "It became something to do with you when you started dating me two years ago."
His eyes were pleading, but the girl felt nothing. She was numb and tired. Maybe the sadness would come later.
"And that's done now, so," Hana smiled sadly, patting the boys shoulder. "You can join him in hating me, if you want."
"Hana, don't go-"
"And you can keep on dating Sunhee's friend," she shrugged, his face dropping. "She'll grow tired of your manipulating ways one day."
