Since that night, Hana barely spoke to anyone - never mind Kim Sunwoo.
Taeyang waited by that kerbside every night, kicking herself for not asking for the girls phone number. She worried about her, truly.
But Hana wouldn't believe that even if she was told. In her eyes, this was all a scheme - a betrayal, much like everything in her life.
Upon that balcony, she felt more alone than she ever did in her entire life.
The street was empty, everyone at work whilst she couldn't even manage to pluck up the courage to go to school.
Little did she know, although she should have guessed, Sunwoo wasn't at school either.
It was only when she saw his curtains open ever so slightly that she realised he was home too.
Great, she thought, everyone will think it's weird that they both aren't there and left that trip together. Although most people would know better that they still despised one another.
Except, maybe not so much. When they didn't argue, he seemed somewhat tolerable.
He didn't trust her, but somehow she found that maybe it wasn't that she didn't trust him, she didn't trust Changmin and what he told him.
One day he would realise, but it wouldn't be any time soon.
"Have you been up here all day?" Her mother sighed, the clocking striking 6pm as the sun began to set.
"What else should I do?" Hana shrugged, tucking her knees further into her chest. The concerned look upon her mother's face was enough to make her roll her eyes. "I'm fine, I promise."
With that, she was left alone again. Maybe watching the television would help.
But after an hour or two, she grew bored of it. Nights like this were always better when she could meet Taeyang, but that wouldn't be happening anymore.
She weighed up the pros and cons of going to see her, to ask her all the questions on her mind. "Fuck it."
"Where are you going?" Her mother asked from the living room.
"Just out," Hana shrugged. Did her mother always look like she never believed her, or was she just sensitive to everything now? "Don't wait up."
She braced herself to open the door, sucking in a deep breath. But nothing could've prepared her for what was outside her front door."
"Hey," Sunwoo said blankly. "Can we talk?"
