Chapter Sixty-Six

While arranging his desk, Jin heard a tap on the door, which was then forced open, prompting him to glance up to see who had entered.

"Dear Sir, I have brought you breakfast." Taehyung walked inside the room, shutting the door behind him and making his way to Jin's desk.

Jin laughed aloud as he rose to his feet and shook his head, exclaiming, "You are not funny, and please don't tell me Hoseok got up and continued making breakfast."

"It would be nice if I could say he didn't," Taehyung says as he places the bag in his hand on Jin's desk.

"I told him he didn't have to do this, so why is he getting up so early? I don't want to be the cause he goes into labor too soon." Jin sighs as he examines the bag that Taehyung had brought. He loved that his best friend was sending him food, but it had been occurring every morning since he began working at the hospital, and he was aware of Hoseok's situation, so he didn't want him to put himself in too much trouble.

"You realize this has something to do with you telling him you don't eat in the morning, right?" Taehyung says as he watches Jin go through everything Hoseok had given him. "Also, he likes getting up and cooking in the morning, so don't be too hard on him."

"Seriously? Well, I'm going to work on it with him since he can't continue like this. I appreciate it, but I'm sorry I'm feeling bad. However, thank you for bringing this to me; I will enjoy it heartily. How did your morning commute go this morning?"

"Don't worry; it will be my responsibility to cook breakfast soon enough. He is already thinking about how we can send it to you since, after he has our baby, I will be taking some time off work to stay at home with him and-"

"Oh my god, no! Taehyung, you and Hoseok have gotten completely out of hand. I can grab myself breakfast! What is it about the two of you that makes you act this way? While I appreciate that you all want to look after me, I'm serious. I'm okay, and I have fruits at home, so I can eat an apple in the mornings. In addition, I have a healthy lunch throughout the day. I'm going to have lunch with Yoongi today as well, so I'll be eating well."

"We recognize that you are doing well, but we also want to do all we can to support you and welcome you home. I understand that choosing to leave London, particularly after developing a life there, was difficult. We are concerned about you, and doing so enables us not to be concerned excessively. I understand that it could be too much, and I can speak to Hoseok about it, but please don't cut us out completely; even if it's only breakfast once a week, you can continue to accept, okay?"

"Are you serious now?" Jin said, staring at Taehyung in surprise. "I have already committed to coming for dinner twice a week. I know you both care for me, but recently, I've had the impression that you are acting like my parents. I'm in excellent shape! I'm also really happy; I like my job and am relieved to be back in the town. The apartment is fantastic, and the walk to work in the morning allows me to get in a few additional steps. Taehyung, I am in a good position right now, and I need you and Hoseok to put your trust in me.

When I chose to return here, I knew I needed to be back home. I wanted to be close to you guys as well as my parents."

Taehyung sighed, "we trust you, and we know you are good; we see it. Anyway, breakfast once a week, I will tell Hoseok. Earlier, you asked about my commute. It wasn't bad; traffic was light this morning. I know for you it's nothing. Walking to work seems like a treat. Is this your first time seeing Yoongi since you got back?"

"That's great, and I'm pleased to hear it. Walking is a great option since I hate driving, and the added exercise is a bonus. Yes, this is the first time I will be seeing him; we had a video call yesterday while I was chatting to Jimin."
