Tay's POV

"We are truly excited today to be in the presence of the Reillys. It is with their generous donation that we breakground on the new library. Of all the founding families, the Reillys have always been the most hands on. With all their global charities, they still make time for their hometown. Which is why every first Friday every September will be Reilly Friday. On Reilly Fridays, thirty percent of all the proceeds for the town will go to Reilly funded charities." The rest of the mayor's speech fades out for me. I honestly don't give a shit; I'm literally forced to be here against my will. Worst part is I'm on stage next to the fat bastard trying to keep a straight face. I know I'm not succeeding because I'm getting pinches and elbows from Mommie Dearest.

"Now, I present to you Mr. Pearce Reilly and the Reilly clan." The mayor screeches into the mic like a little fangirl.

'Calm down. It's not the Pope; it's just Satan's spawns.'

Pearce makes a long winded speech where he basically talks in circles until the crowd doesn't realize that he's basically complimenting himself. What a pompous ass. I shake my head discreetly. Out of the corner of my eye, I see Ren's shoulders wiggling as she tries to control her giggles. A smirk overtakes my bored countenance. I bop my head in cadence to Pearce's speech. After Pearce speaks, it's Madam Reilly's turn.

"My family and I are elated to be part of the groundbreaking ceremony." I wait patiently for my queue. Celeste walks away from the podium much like Beyonce at the half-time show.

'My time to shine. Watch me work.'

"As the library serves people through all walks of life, I am proud to be a part of this momentous occasion. I hope that the library educates people in every generation much like my parents, myself and my stunning girlfriend Adrienne." I walk away from the podium trying to convey a overwhelming feeling. In actuality, I'm gagging because I called the Reillys my parents. I casually walk behind the stage gagging. A comforting hand rubs my back. Ren followed me out back.

"You ok? I know I wouldn't be if I had to claim both of those donkey's asses." Ren jokes.

"I am. I'm ready for dinner at Mom's." I answer standing up straight.

"Me too. Are we leaving now?"

"After shaking hands and kissing babes."

"You do mean babies, right?" Ren asks.

"Them too." I tease with a smirk. Ren slaps my back. I wince but carry on. Celeste and Pearce walk back with Celeste bitching out Pearce for some inane reason.

"You don't ever listen, you sorry son of a bitch! You can't even fake affection towards me when cameras are on!" Celeste screeches.

"Give it a rest, harpie. I smiled, didn't I?" Pearce chuckles.

I clap for them. "Show them some love, ladies and gentleman! It's the Reillys!" I fake cheer.

"Shut up, dyke. We would've been fine but you had to bring your perversion to our wholesome family." Celeste sneers.

"What family?" I ask sincerely."All I see is a a sad couple who didn't know when to call it quits." Celeste raises her hand to slap at me. I grab her hand.

"Take your hands off of me!" She yells.

"Never in your miserable life even think about touching me. I put it on G-d, I'll beat the living shit out of you until you're an unrecognizable corpse wearing designer garbs. Are we clear?" I say with a subzero chill and menacing eyes. Celeste visibly pales and nods her bloodless head. I push Celeste away and clap my hands.
