Ren's POV"I hope you folks are wrapping up this project. Don't forget the time logs; I don't want you all half assing this assignment." Dr. Sharpe warns.
"C'mon Sharpe. You know I don't half ass anything; I'm an all or nothing type of girl." Tay teases while wiggling her brows. The class explodes with laughter.
"Sure, Ms. Reilly. Nevertheless, I wouldn't want to deviate from the college professor handbook. So I must remind everyone not just you."
"Damn Prof. I thought I was your favorite?" Tay pouts.
"I have no favorites but if I did it would be a student who didn't talk back. Take the rest of the week to finish the assignment. Presentations start next Monday. Class is dismissed." Sharpe says. Everyone packs and rushes to the door. Tay is no different.
'I don't know what's happened but it seems like Tay is avoiding me. Everything seemed fine at church yesterday afternoon. Maybe she's still fighting with Trevor. Maybe Han told her about the warning. Maybe I'm just paranoid.'
"Tay, hold up!" I say before she can escape. I see her body tense up. She turns towards me slowly.
"What's up?"
"Are we okay? I mean I feel like you're avoiding me."
"No. Should we not be okay?"
"No no. You just been acting sort of weird."
"It's just the Reillys irritating me as per usual."
"Cool cool. Han invited us over for dinner tonight with her and Trev. You in?"
"Yea. Course. Laters then."
"Huh? Where you going?"
"To class." Tay says with a little salute leaving standing and starting in the doorway. Another professor leads her class into the classroom.
'Two things: Tay is mad or upset about something and she's definitely not going to class.'
Tay's POV
'Fuck that. Me sitting through a full days class? That's hilarious and unheard of. Why is Ren so suspicious? I hope Han didn't tip her off.'
I hop on Delores and head towards Perry. I've been missing my boy.
"Hey Prince." I call to Perry. He looks at me as if he's weighing his choices. He walks out of his kennel and rolls his eyes at me.
"I could always leave you here full time, runt." I threaten which sets Perry off on a barking spree. An attendant rounds the corner to see the fuss.
'This has got to be a funny scene. Me and Perry facing off in the middle of kennel bickering like mother and child.'
"Is there a problem here?" The attendant asks.
"Nope. None at all. Me and the pooch are going for a walk. See you in twenty." Perry and I walk out the kennel and to the park. I don't leash him because I feel bad enough he's in the kennel. Plus fuck the rules. We go through our usual routine of being nuisances to the public.
"Per, what ever happened to the simple life? I miss when it was just you and me against the world. People only ruin things."
"Talking to yourself, Super Dyke? Isn't that one of the first signs of a psychotic mind?"
'Speaking of other people ruining things. Dean the lord of the douche bags. Prince trumps lord any day.'
"I'm surprised that you know a three syllable word. Kudos. I guess no child left behind wasn't a waste of time."
