"Babe, do you know him?" Jax walked up and wrapped his arm around my waist.
"What sis? Cat got your tongue?" Leslie smirked. So she knows.
My eyes hadn't left Matthews. He was staring at me in complete shock, speechless himself.
"Ugh, Matthew." Leslie tugged on his arm. He finally looked away from me and his eyes fell to Jaxs arm around my waist.
"Who the hell are you?" he asked trying to size Jax up.
"I'm her boyfriend who the hell are you?" Jax retorted.
"Boyfriend?" Matthew looked at me in confusion.
"Why does it matter? He's just gonna leave her eventually." Leslie spoke.
"Oh you bitch." I scoffed.
"Why the hell is he here?" Cameron asked in anger.
"He's gonna spend christmas with us. Isn't that right baby?" Leslie put her arms around Matthews neck.
"Uh yeah." he spoke still staring down Jax.
"Now now children. Let's not fight." my mother walked into the room. "Matthew it's nice to see you again."
"So you knew?" I asked stepping away from Jax. "You knew and you still invited me out here, knowing I would not want to see him."
"Maggie who is this guy?" Jax asked. I glared at my mom before pulling Jax into the living room where the triplets were playing with their toys.
"Jax please don't get mad." I sighed.
"I'm not gonna get mad at you baby, but why was that guy looking at you like that?" he asked. I realized he wasn't angry because I knew the guy, he's just being protective.
"Um, he's..." I wrapped my arms tighter around his neck. "He's the triplets father. He left me just before I went into labor to be in the marines. He broke up with me and 'wished me luck' with our child. He didn't even know they were triplets or that they were born premature."
Tears welled up in my eyes. "That asshole did that to you?" Jax clenched his jaw.
"Please don't do anything." I pleaded. "I think I want to go home the night of Christmas." I whispered. "I don't want to stay the extra day."
"Okay we can do that." Jax nodded. "I'll call my brothers, tell 'em to get the jet here."
"Thank you Jax." I hugged him.
"He better stay away from you." he whispered in my ear. "I'd rather not beat someone's ass in your moms house."
I giggled and pulled back to kiss him gently. He hummed and squeezed my butt.
"Ew!" we broke apart and looked at the triplets who were covering their eyes.
"Yucky." Emmy shook her head.
"Oh really?" Jax tilted his head. Their eyes widened as he leaned down and scooped all three of them into his arms.
"Ah mommy!" they squealed through giggles as he fell onto the couch and started tickling them.
"I can only save one." I scooped Emmy up and she giggled. "Girls gotta stick together." I gave her a fist bump.
"Maggie!" at the sound of my mother coming into the room Jax stopped tickling them and let them catch their breath.
"What?"
"This is perfect. Matthew can meet his kids now." She said excitedly.
"No he cant. He made the decision to leave don't you dare say that in front of them."
"Well I'd like to know where Matthew and I will be sleeping." Leslie and Matthew walked into the room and he immediately froze at the sight of me with Emmy in my arms.
"Oh you brought the kids." Leslie scrunched her face up.
"Kids?" Matthews eyes widened.
"Mama?" Sam and Mikey ran up to me and grabbed my belt loops of my jeans.
"It's okay." I put my hand on Sams head. "Um this is Kelly's sister Leslie." I told them.
"I'm your auntie." Leslie smirked.
"No shes not." I glared.
"So uh, these are your kids?" Matthew asked and I nodded. "Are they his?" he nodded towards Jax who stood up beside me. Mikey whined and reached his arms up to him. He lifted my son up and Mikey hid his face in his neck.
"That's none of your business." I told Matthew. Sam dug his head into my thigh to hide from his gaze.
"So that means—"
"Don't say it in front of them." I snapped.
"Why the hell are you even here?" Cameron asked.
"Leslie, why wouldn't you tell me your dad married her mom?" Matthew asked lowly to his girlfriend.
"I didn't think it mattered." she shrugged.
"Look let's not talk about this in front of the kids." Jax spoke.
"I think it's bedtime right?" the triplets all whined and I rolled my eyes. "C'mon upstairs." I ushered them on. Jax let Mikey down but Sam grabbed his hand pulling him with us.
"Tuck us in?" he asked.
"Of course." Jax picked him up and followed me upstairs. Inside my room, the triplets all ran to their sleeping bags on the air mattress.
The sounds of their giggles filled the room making me smile.
"I'm gonna go make their milk." I told Jax. He nodded and kissed my cheek.
I walked out of the room then I heard Jax's voice, "Hey, don't jump on there!"
I laughed at his tone and made my way downstairs to the kitchen. As I filled their sippy cups with milk I heard someone walk in the kitchen behind me.
"So you got three kids?" his voice made me freeze.
"Yea I do." I scoffed.
"They all mine?" I turned around to face him with a glare. "They all looked the same age, just askin."
"Youre nothing but a fucking sperm donor." I spat at him.
"Oh come on Maggie are you that mad?"
"Matt, you never even reached out to me when you got back home. You left me when I was pregnant with your babies." I said angrily.
"I didnt know they were triplets!"
"Does that make it better?" I scoffed. "You didn't want to even be apart of their lives. I raised those three through everything." I turned back around and finished filling their cups.
"Whys the one bald?" his question made me freeze. "You really shaved a three year olds head?"
"He has cancer you inconsiderate fuck." I pushed passed him and went upstairs.
"W-What?"
I ignored him and continued my way upstairs. When I got to my room my heart melted seeing Jax laying on the bed with the three. He had put the TV on and they were all chilling.
"Here you guys go." I handed them each a cup and laid down beside them. Sam climbed over Jax and laid on my chest.
"Mama." he mumbled and drank his milk. I stroked his head and kissed his forehead.
"Get some sleep baby." I told him.
"Giant." Emmy stood up from where she was laying at the end of the bed on her stomach. She held her sippy cup in her mouth with one hand and held her other one out to Jax. He held his hand out and she crawled into his arms. He wrapped his arm around her back, lightly patting her butt while she fell asleep.
"Maggie." I looked up at Jax and he leaned down to kiss my lips. "Goodnight angel."
"Goodnight." I smiled up at him.
