Maggie

This place is, amazing.

I didn't expect it to be this fancy but I'm in complete aw. When we walked in, the triplets were holding onto my hands; Emmy was on one side holding my hand and Sam and Mikey were holding onto one of my fingers on the other side.

All eyes were on us and it felt like a scene out of a movie. Jax walked right next to me with his hand on my lower back which sent chills down my spine. People were watching us and I felt my heart beat speed up at the looks I was receiving.

Most of the men were watching my body and I knew most of them were looking at my ass which made me uncomfortable. Then there was women that were watching me with envy and jealousy in their eyes. There were a few that were watching Jax but when they saw his hand on me they sent me dirty looks.

Amanda was right, these bitches are jealous.

When the banquet began Jax's brother, Ryan made a speech and received applaud from the whole ball room. He had a woman by his side and by the way he was looking at her I'm assuming she's his girlfriend or wife.

Jax also made a speech and when he walked up to where his brother was standing Ryan glanced over at me and looked at his brother questionably.

I think he expected me to go up there with him but I'm pretty sure Jax knew I wouldn't want to do that.

As the banquet went on people conversed and I watched as the triplets sat at a table with other kids. They looked like the youngest ones here which made me kind of nervous but Jax assured me that they'd be fine.

He did in fact keep me by his side the whole time even when he was talking with other business owners. He had his arm around my waist and whenever another man would look at me he'd drop it lower and pull me closer.

After a while, we sat down to eat at a table and for some reason Jax seemed super tense.

"Hey," I put my hand on his shoulder. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah." he cleared his throat and straightened himself out. "Just, the way some guys are looking at you is making me want to bust someone's face open."

That's hot.

I leaned in closer to him and he looked at me. "And why is that?" I asked as I traced his jawline with my finger. His jaw ticked and he put his hand on my thigh making me gasp.

"Because right now you're mine and I better not have to prove it to all of these men." he said through gritted teeth. I refrained from biting my lip and tired to ignore the feeling between my legs.

A few people sat down in front of us and Jax started conversation with them. He kept his arm around me the whole time and I was quiet until one woman brought me into the conversation.

"So is this your girlfriend?" she asked Jax and looked at me weirdly. "She's cute."

"Actually--"

"Yeah, she is." Jax cut me off. I looked up at him with furrowed brows but he just rubbed my hip with his hand.

"Oh." she sent me a dirty look making me scoff.

"So honey, what's your job?" an older woman asked me. I looked up at Jax confused by her bluntness but he pinched his eyes shut.

"She owns a bakery." he replied and smiled down at me.

"A bakery?" the same woman from before asked with a laugh. "Seriously Jax, you're dating a baker?"

"Yeah, I am. At least she's not a snobby bitch like some people." he told her making me hide a laugh. She scoffed and looked down at her food.

Jax turned his head towards me with a tiny smirk and I shook my head with a smile. I looked over at the triplets and saw them eating their mac and cheese with the other kids.
