Maggie laid asleep against Jax's chest having cried to much to keep herself conscious. His heart was breaking the more the minutes passed by and they were making no progress on finding the kids.

"Jax." Ryan walked into the room, stopping when he saw Maggie in his brothers arms. Both the adults sitting on the couch looked exhausted and it's only been 3 hours since they went missing.

Jax's hair was a mess, his eyes completely drained and bloodshot, and Maggie... nothing could describe how distressed she looked.

"Y-You okay brother?" the tall brunette man asked, walking towards them.

"I fucked up." his voice came out hoarse. "I was supposed to protect them, that was my job and I failed them, I failed her."

"Man you couldn't have known." Ryan sat down next to him. "Moms on her way down here."

Jax immediately turned his head to his brother. "What? But what about-"

"She's healthy, they're letting her come down for a bit. You need her right now Jax, we all know you're a mamas boy at heart." Ryan tried to lighten the mood.

Jax barely cracked a smile. "When does she arrive?"

"Tomorrow morning. Let's hope we find where the kids are by then."

"Get Connor on it. Make sure Masons got the scouts out looking for anything that could help us. Is Scarlet okay?"

"She's... handling it. I mean she's terrified but she's holding onto hope."

"Make sure shes always in a safe spot. Guards with her at all times even in the house." Jax sounded deadly serious.

Maggie began to stir in his arms before slumping against him again. Her eyes slowly opened but when she looked around and her eyes fell on the papers and computers on the coffee table she closed them again.

Ryan and Jax shared a look as a tear fell from the side of her closed eyelids. Her hands softly clutched Jax's shirt in her hands as a shaky breath fell from his lips.

"I'm right here. Right here..." he whispered to her.

"I need my babies." she whimpered softly.

"I know." he held her tighter.

I do too.

"You're out of your mind!" Nick yelled at me and Maggie as we stood in a meeting room.

"Don't raise your voice at her." I glared at him. Maggie crossed her arms over her chest, a deadly look on her face from the chair she sat in right in front of me. My arms places over her on the table.

"These are my children we are talking about." she said.

"I don't fucking want Amanda involved in this." he shook his head, pacing back and forth.

"She has a degree in computer coding! She's been taking classes for it and courses since middle school. She could be helpful!" Maggie suddenly stood up.

"We have a computer guy already!"

"No we have a Connor!" she argued back.

"Hey!" Connor held his hands up in offense.

Maggie sent him a glare. We can all tell she is not messing around. We're standing in a room with almost twenty FBI men and she has not shown one ounce of fear and quite honesty she doesn't seem intimidated by any one of us.

To be fair, she used to be a cop so...

"Don't be fucking disrespectful to him." Nick snapped at her. What the fuck is his problem?
