"Are we going to visit daddy?" Sam asked his mother as they got their shoes on.
"Yeah and Grammys gonna join us." Maggie smiled. Just then the doorbell rang.
The triplets gasped and ran to open it. Iris smiled at the three of them.
"Hi my babies!"
"Hi grammy!" they hugged her. Maggie smiled and slipped her shoes on. As she did her eye got caught by her ring on her finger. Her mood dropped slightly and she kissed it softly. Iris noticed and sadly smiled.
"How are you honey?" Iris pulled her into a hug.
"Im okay." Maggie forced a smile. Truth is, she hasn't genuinely smiled in a long time.
"Hows the little nugget doing?"
Maggie smiled and laid her hands over her stomach.
"Almost eight months." she said happily, rubbing her baby bump. Iris smiled at her daughter in law.
Shortly after the incident, Maggie found out she was pregnant. She had been going through so much stress and it got to the point where she had passed out and gone into some state of shock.
When she was taken to the hospital, they informed her of her pregnancy. She wasn't excited in the slightest. In fact, she was furious, disappointed, heartbroken.
She lost the love of her life and the pregnancy was just a reminder of him. It wasn't until Iris had talked to her and told her it was a blessing that she would get to hold onto something of him forever that she started to be less reluctant to have the baby.
The triplets were excited, as was Amanda and Crystal. Scarlet felt just as Maggie did but she grew more fond of the idea over time.
"Cameron's coming out in three weeks to stay with me once I have the baby." Maggie said.
"Id like to stay with you too if that's okay." Iris spoke as they walked out of the house. "Just to look after the triplets and relieve you of some stress."
"Id like that a lot." Maggie sighed. She got the kids into their car seats and Iris got into the drivers seat.
"Have you thought of any names yet?" Iris asked. Maggie shook her head.
"No." she felt her eyes well up. "I don't really- I dont know how to come up with a name that Id think Jax would want. This is a lot harder without him."
"I know honey." Iris put her hand on Maggie's. They pulled up to their destination and Maggie sighed.
She got out of the car with the kids and grabbed the picnic basket from the trunk. She held Sams hand as they walked into the place, stopping in front of the stone block on the ground.
"Hi daddy." Sam whispered. Maggie's heart clenched as Iris laid out a blanket on the grass.
"We brought sandwiches today daddy." Mikey said. Iris smiled at the kids before noticing Maggie's distant look.
"Are you okay hon?" Iris asked.
Maggie snapped out of it and helped her kids get the food out. "Y-Yeah. Im okay."
"Dada, mama says nugget is almost here." Mikey said excitedly. Maggies noticed that Emmy usually stayed quiet when they came to visit Jax's grave.
"Are you okay baby?" she asked the girl.
"Is daddy really gone?" she looked up at Maggie with tears in her eyes.
Maggie sighed and looked to Iris for help. "He is baby, Im sorry."
