Maggie tried her best to not call Jax every single day, knowing he was doing business so it probably wasn't good for her to be bugging him. So she would wait until he'd call her even if she had to wait until the middle of the night.
The triplets have been learning to expand their vocabulary so Maggie's had to deal with a bunch of loud mouths around her house.
Amanda and Crystal have still been coming around to help out with the triplets. Much to Maggie's surprise, Scarlet showed up at her house one day. She really appreciated the extra help and with Scarlet around, she got more time to herself.
Right now, Maggie is packing her suitcases for their flight in the morning. The triplets were going through their rooms making messed trying to pick out one toy each to bring.
"Mommy!" she heard a scream and groaned. Mikey and Sam ran in the room both tugging on an iron man doll.
"It's mine!"
"I want it!"
"Hey, hey, hey! What's going on?" Maggie stood up and grabbed the toy.
"I wanna bring dat one." Mikey said pointed at the toy.
"No, it's mine!" Sam whined.
"Look, if you guys can't agree then nobody gets to bring it." Maggie said sternly.
"But mom..."
"No listen, there's a million other toys,
how about this one stays here and you both go pick something else." she told them."Fine." they both stomped off like teenagers making her sigh.
"Mommy which one." Emmy ran into her room and dropped a ton of dolls and my little ponies on her bed.
"Honey, this is to much." Maggie laughed.
"I know." she climbed onto the bed and set up all the toys.
"Wha bout dis one?" she held up a big my little pony. "But den I gotta bring her baby." she held up another mini toy.
"Okay but that's it. And it has to fit in your bag over there." Maggie motioned to the three small backpacks by her door. "Yours is the purple one."
"Otay mama." she ran over to shove them in her bag. Mikey and Sam ran back in with two different toys.
"We done!" they yelled.
"Put them in your bags." Maggie told them just as her phone started ringing. She saw the caller ID and immediately answered. "Jax?"
"Hey angel." she could practically hear the smile on his face. "How's everything going?"
"It's fine." she smiled. "Just finishing up with the packing. When are you getting back?"
"Listen, about the trip to your moms..."
"You can't make it." Maggie sighed already knowing what he was gonna say by the tone of his voice.
"I'm sorry my love. Things are going fast out here, we got a tip on where my dad might be doing some shit so I don't think I'll be back in time."
"Oh." she tried to hide the disappointment in her voice. She sat down on her bed, her eyes trailing over to the triplets sadly.
"Are you okay?" he asked.
"Y-Yeah it's fine." she coughed.
"I'll pay for your flights out there okay? I'll make sure you've got great seats, everything you'll need and-"
"No Jax its fine." she sighed. "Just... stay safe for me okay?"
"I will." Jax could have sworn he felt his heart hurt at how devastated she sounded.
