Unknown POV

"The kids are locked up?" I asked the men standing guard outside the room.

"Yes sir." they nodded.

I peered inside and saw the three children sitting in the farthest corner from the door. The bald one laid down with his head on the other boys lap. I don't know what that little shits issue is but he's annoying.

I opened the door and went inside. They cowered back in fear and pulled their brother closer to them. "Looks like your new little daddy screwed you guys over." I smirked.

"I want my mommy." the girl sniffled.

"Well that's too bad princess." I kneeled down in front of her. "You're never gonna see your mom ever again."

"Let us out." the other boy cried.

"Oh I will." I laughed. "Once I have your mothers head on a pike."

"Have I ever told you about my dad?" Maggie sniffled and looked up at me. We're laying in my bed with the TV playing in front of us. I'm trying so hard to help her keep her mind off of everything but I know she's been crying silently in my arms for the past few hours.

"I don't think so." I shook my head. She rolled over from laying with her back to my chest and looked up at me. "He passed away when you were fifteen right?"

She hummed and nodded. "My dad his name was Michael." she said. So that's who Mikey's named after. "He was battling cancer for majority of my life. I remember being thirteen and spending all my time in the hospital with him. He fought so hard but it wasn't enough."

I brushed her hair back and kissed her head. "You don't have to tell me." I noticed the tears in her eyes.

"I always told myself I didn't want kids because I didn't want them to inherit the cancerous gene but deep down I knew I wanted to be a mother. My dad always said he'd feel so guilty because it comes from his side of the family." the more she spoke the more I listened while rubbing her hip comfortingly. "B-But I met Matt."

My body immediately tensed.

"We fell in love in high school. He was... my everything. He helped me through my dads death. He was my rock. We got married after college and that was when I told him how scared I was to have kids but I opened up about how I really wanted to be a mother." I nodded my head letting her know I'm listening.

All I know of is that Matthew left her when she was a couple months pregnant and that he knew about the pregnancy before leaving her. That's a douchebag if I'd ever seen one. Even if I wasn't romantically involved with a woman, I'd never put her through the struggle of raising my child on her own. No woman asks to go through that and the fact that Maggie had to do it with triplets blows my mind.

"I was secretly hoping he'd want to find another way to have kids. Even if in some crazy way we conceived our own but he didn't want that." tears welled up in her eyes. "He said he wanted to wait a few years and live out our first years as a married couple. When I brought up adoption he yelled at me. Then three years later I found out I was pregnant."

"That's when he left?" I asked softly. I truly do care about knowing what happened in her past. Maggie means the absolute word to me and if she needs to open up about everything to cope, that's fine with me.

She nodded and sniffled, laying her head on my chest. "I tried to tell him but then he told me he was joining the navy." that shocked me. "I was heartbroken Jax. I wanted to have a kid with him and start a life but I found out that he was not only leaving me and my baby for the navy but he had found someone new. He abandoned us."

I kissed her forehead and pulled her closer. "I don't know why he'd ever want to leave you. You Maggie James are the most perfect woman I have ever met in my entire life. And I want nothing more than to spend my life with you and your kids."

"I..." she looked into my eyes and I knew those three words she was trying to say just by the emotion on her face.

"I know. You don't have to say it if you're not ready." I gave her a sad smile. "But I love you Maggie."

She smiled up at me before hugging my neck tightly. I rubbed up and down her back as she began crying in my arms.

"I love you Maggie." I repeated and kissed her head.

Maggie

It's been 48 hours. Everybody knows the chances of finding your children after 48 hours is is zero to none.

But we got a lead. Jax found a warehouse that is under suspicion of drug storage. They inspected and it was in fact his fathers. They managed to save a few women who were held captive but no luck in finding my kids.

Seeing what they did to some of those girls makes me fear for Emmy even more now. If they touch my daughter I will personally put a bullet in their heads.

"Do you know where they are yet?" I asked Amanda who sat at a computer in the van.

"I've got one location but it's almost three hours away." she sighed defeatedly.

"That's not bad. They could've been that close this entire time, I'll go tell Jax."

"Tell Jax what?" we looked behind us where he stood.

"I've got a location, three hours away. A security camera got footage of a man with a familiar description of your father. I followed through other cameras nearby and it led to a very large house. I don't know what the inside looks like but they definitely could be hiding someone there maybe the triplets." she seemed desperate to find my kids just as much as we were. I squeezed her shoulders appreciatively.

"Set the helicopter." Jax instructed a man. He nodded and left the van.

"Okay let's go." I exited the van and went outside. I fastened a vest on when someone grabbed my wrist. Jax turned me around to face him.

"I don't want you coming with us." he spoke honestly.

"Those are my kids Jax. I'm sorry but this is not up for discussion."

"Exactly those are your kids and if you go in there and get into trouble then what happens to them?" he tilted his head.

"I trust that you'd make sure they're safe and you'd take care of them." I answered.

"You can't put that on me Maggie. I don't want to lose you, and they're gonna need you when they get to safety." he said.

I sighed and touched his cheek. "I need to know that they're safe the minute we get them out. If I have you with me... nothing is gonna go wrong."

And I fully believe that. I know Jax would keep me safe. Plus I think he forgets that I was a cop.

"You stay with me, Nick, or Ryan at all times." he gripped my chin in his hand. "Understood."

I smirked. "Sure."

"Maggie I'm serious."

"I know." I went on my tip toes and kissed him on the cheek. "Now can we please go get my babies back?"

Jax sighed and nodded.
