Maggie

"Okay, I have two orders to get delivered before I pick the kids up from daycare. Sams surgery is in a week so we have a check up on Wednesday. Am I missing anything?" I looked at Amanda and Crystal over the counter of my bakery.

Jax agreed to let me go to work so long as I took two body guards and had them on guard inside of the shop.

My bakeries not very big. It's in its own little building near a family park but also in the middle of a bunch of large business buildings so I get a lot of good customers ranging from parents with their kids to middle class workers looking for a coffee and muffin. I of course cater to all.

"Are you sure you should be working right now? I mean we can find someone to run the bakery for a bit while you're gone." Amanda said.

"This place is like my second home. I worked so hard for this place, so can't just give up on it now." I told her.

"That doesn't mean you can't take a break." Crystal said.

"Guys, I can't." just as I said that my phone started ringing. I noticed it was Jax and answered to with a smile. I went to tlak but his voice cut me off.

"Maggie, did you pick up the triplets from daycare?" he asked.

I furrowed my brows. "No I thought you said you were going to."

I heard him huff on the other line and seemingly let out a frustrated or angry noise. Why is he asking this? Are my kids okay?

"Angel listen to me, I need you to get home right now."

"Why? Is everything okay?"

"Maggie, the kids are missing."

And just like that, the world went silent.

One hour earlier

Jax

"Jax can you help me with my calculus homework?" Scarlet asked me as she walked out of her room.

"Sure, just let me go get the triplets from daycare and I'll help you out." I kissed her forehead and made my way to my garage. I looked over all my different cars before deciding on the safest one for the kids to be in.

Yeah I have a bunch of different cars. I'm rich, what do you expect?

Maggie's been at the bakery all day so she asked me to pick up the triplets from their daycare. I was running a bit late as well. It's held at a small schoolhouse in the more rural area of the city.

Pulling up outside the daycare I couldn't help but frown at the state of the place. It looked like it would come tumbling down at any moment. I pushed the thoughts aside and made my way inside of the building.

A lady sat at the front desk working through some papers when she looked up at the sound of the bell.

"Hello sir, how may I help you?" she asked. "Wait aren't you Jax Knightly?"

"Yeah, I'm here to pick up my kids." I said, not really thinking twice about it. As far as I'm concerned they are my kids and I love them like they are.

"Y-You have kids?" she seemed slightly surprised. I kept a neutral expression. "Sorry, what are their names?"

"Samuel, Michael, and Emeline James." I answered.

"Ah the triplets, what a wonderful bunch they are." she smiled at me. "Although that Michael gives us a run for our money."

I couldn't help but laugh at that. He is a troublemaker.
