I sat on a picnic blanket with Crystal and Amanda while the triplets played at the park nearby.

My mind has been on Jax for the last few days. I feel bad for saying no to the banquet but I'm sure he's already found another date. He's a very good looking guy and any woman would say yes to him even if they were strangers.

"So, what happened with Jax?" Crystal asked as she ate a grape from a bag.

"Well he invited me to a banquet for his and his brother's job but I said no." I said.

"Oh Nick invited me to that, why'd you say no?" Amanda asked. "We could have gone together."

"I don't know." I sighed. "I think he's an amazing guy and I love how good he is with Emmy and Mikey and I love how he didn't judge Sam but I just don't know if I'm ready to date again. Plus, I don't have a babysitter and the banquets in three days."

"Well I'd say I could but I'm leaving town tomorrow." Crystal said and I nodded.

"You could take them with you." Amanda shrugged.

"What?" I looked at her with wide eyes. "You think I'm gonna bring my three kids to some event where there will most likely be alcohol."

"You're an idiot." Crystal shook her head with a laugh making me furrow my brows.

"A lot of kids will be at this banquet." Amanda laughed. "You think you're the only parent in New York? A lot of families attend this thing especially their business partners."

"Well what if people think that the kids are his?" I asked.

"You can tell them their not." Crystal shrugged. I sighed and turned to look at the kids playing in the park. I saw Mikey pushing Sam on the swing which made me smile. I looked around for Emmy and felt my heart beat speed up when I didn't see her.

"Hey guys, where's Emmy?" I asked. They both looked over at the park and when they didn't see her either we all stood up.

"Emmy?" I called as I walked over to the park.

"Emmy?" Amanda and Crystal looked around too. I felt my heart drop as I heard no reply.

"Oh my god." I walked faster around the park in search of my baby girl but I couldn't find her. "Emeline!?" I shouted. My heart pounded in my ears as my eyes dart in all directions, searching for her face.

"Emmy baby where are you?!" my eyes tear up as fear kicks in. Amanda and Crystal are looking around for her as well and I can't stop my mind from drifting to where she might be.

Did she wander off into the trees alone? Did she leave the park? Did someone take her?

"Emeline!" I yell at the top of my lungs as panic sets in.

Yes this is definitely what I need.

After that talk with Ryan and Nick I decided to go on a run to clear my head. I've been running for around thirty minutes and my feet are hitting the pavement at a steady pace. I enter the park and take in the scenery. I love running through here because each time I get rushed by the feeling of fresh air and green trees surrounding.

As I make my way through the park, I slow my pace to look at my surroundings. People are walking, lying on the grass or reading, and kids playing on the playgrounds. This park is the place where families can spend time together.
