Five Years Later

Five years have passed since the snap.

4 and a half since I've meet Lemar. Also 4 and a half years I found out that Rose and her Husband Jack were blipped away, they helped me when I needed it so after explaining to Lemar about Carlos who was 10 at the time, we brought him over seas to live with me. Through these years all three of us have gotten closer.

Lemar was born in Chicago, Illinois on April 29. He has a brother, Leon Hoskins, who I met since he wasn't blipped.
Lemar went to high school at Custer's Grove High School with his best friend John Walker and his sister Olivia Walker. Lemar and John both joined the United States Army after graduation and he became a Sergeant Major.  Thats where he was when the snap happened, John was dusted right in front of him.

Lemars parents died when him and his brother were young so his grandparents took care of them. His grandfather was snapped away too, his grandmother just passed away a year ago. I had helped her cross over, Lemar knew about my gifts after a year when we met. He was understanding about it and he didn't freak out when I told him that I was experimented on and was given more powers. It only strengthened our friendship.

We both have gotten closer but he understands that Im not completely ready to move on from Bucky. He knows that I have to accept that he isn't coming back in my own time. I know Bucky can't come back, but something is telling me not to lose all hope. But I also know that its just me being wishful, Lemar is a great man and I know that Bucky wouldn't want me to just mourn over him for the rest of my life. His life was taken away from him to early when he was kidnapped by Hydra, he didn't want the same for me no matter what.

So me and Lemar have taken it slow, and he understands. We live together with Carlos in his own room who is about to turn 15 soon. So we deal with a moody teenager, sometimes I miss that little boy who wanted to marry me.

"Carlos you ready for school!? Your breakfast is getting cold!" I yell out as I hear a loud thump like someone fell.

"Im Coming!" Carlos had gotten very fluent in English since moving to the States with me. As I pour myself some coffee, a 14 dirty blonde haired 6 ft boy comes running into the kitchen with his backpack open and books falling out of his hands. As some of them fell I swiftly caught them with a lift of my finger making them float towards us with a blue mist.

"Thanks!" Carlos huffs as he sits down and starts eating his breakfast as I put his books in his bag and zipping it up. "You know Ill never get use to how our eyes glow blue when you use your powers." He says with his mouth full.

" 1. Don't talk with your mouth full, bad manners. 2. Did you do your science project ?"  I ask him as I poured him a glass of Orange Juice. He gulps it down eagerly.

"1. Thank you. 2. Its not due until Friday, I was going to ask Lemar for help after school." He shrugs as he scoops more eggs into his mouth.

"When you mean ask for help you mean for the two of you to goof off and play video games huh?" I smirk as his face gets red in embarrassment.

"Noooooo.... I don't know what you mean." He shakes his head in denial then proceeded to stuff more food into his mouth for I won't ask any more questions. I shake my head and chuckle at this boy antics.

"Morning!" Lemar walks in after his morning run. He comes into the kitchen and kisses me then ruffles Carlos hair making the boy slap his hands away.

"So what is the plans for today?" He ask as he pours oj into his cup, I take a sip of my coffee and point at Carlos.

"He needs help with his science project. And this time no goofing off, try to get something done, hmmm?" I raise an eyebrow at him as he exaggerated a gasp before looking at Carlos.
