I drive through the gates to the Avengers Compound. When I left here 5 years ago, I didn't plan on coming back. But I find out that there's a plan to bring my family back, hell yea I'm in.
I park at the front entrance and look up at the building. Lemar said he'll take care of Carlos while I try to bring everyone back. As I went inside, I was reminded of the first time I walked in. Vision had popped out of nowhere, all he wanted was to see if Wanda was ok. For a few seconds I expected Vision to do it again, but I have to remind myself that he's gone.
"Hello? Anyone here!?" My voice echoes out.
"Y/n?" I hear Bruce voice but I'm not looking at Bruce. Im looking at a mutated Bruce and Hulk together. I must have shown my shock because Bruce chuckles at me.
"Yea its me..." he says while turning around for me to see all of him.
"Uhh Wow! I didn't... When did this happen?" I chuckle as I grabbed his hand and flipping it around to look at it. I look back at him with a grin.
"3-4 years ago."
"This is weird..." I chuckle but look back up and give him a big smile.
"These are some weird times. Come on, we are about to do our first test run." He tells me as I walk with him into a large room set up with equipment and a ugly brown van.
I see Steve, Nat, and Scott all doing something with the equipment to not even bother looking up.
"Hey guys! Look who I found wandering the streets!" Bruce calls out making them all look up.
Nat puts down the clipboard she was looking at and jogs towards me as I do the same. We meet in the middle and hug.
"Im glad you came." She whispers in my ear.
"Im not letting y'all have all the fun. I like a little action in my life too." I pull back from the hug and wink at her making her shake her head as she smiles at me.
"Y/n I..." Steve starts to say before I stoped him by hugging him. He stands still for a moment but returns the hug gratefully.
"Im sorry too, I shouldn't have left y'all alone. Can I come back?" I look up at him since he's a bit taler than me.
"Wouldn't have any other way, Sis." He hugs me again. I pull away and look at Scott who's grinning like a child on Christmas day.
"Hey Scott, sorry you had to see that family argument yesterday. Im glad to see you still in one peace." I tell him as I walk up to him giving him a hug too.
"Forget about it. Im glad you're coming to help us."
I turn around to see Bruce fiddling with buttons on a panel. Nat and Steve are beside Bruce, so I decide to walk over to them before wishing Scott good luck.
"Okay, here we go. Time travel test number one. Scott, fire up the uhhh... the van thing."
Scott opens the portal to the van.
"Breakers are set, emergency generators are on standby." Steve says out loud.
"Good. 'Cause if we blow the grid, I don't wanna lose Tiny here in the 1950's." We all give Bruce a panicked look.
"Excuse me?" Scott voice cracked in fear.
"He's kidding." I yell out to him like it was a joke. I turn towards Bruce and in a hushed tone I whisper. "You can't say things like that!"
"Just... It was a bad joke." Bruce shrugs it off to Scott
"You were kidding, right?" Nat asks
"I have no idea. We're talking about time travel here. Either it's all a joke, or none of it is." He whispers to us both. This made me and Nat look at each other sceptic.
He loudly yells and gives Scott a thumbs up. "We're good! Get your helmet on, Scott. I'm gonna send you back a week, let you walk around for an hour, then bring you back in 10 seconds. Makes sense?"
"Perfectly not confusing." He looked confused
"Good luck, Scott. You got this." Steve tells him
"You're right. I do, Captain America." Scott try's to hide his fangirling.
Bruce presses a button, and Scott disappears into the Quantum Tunnel.
"On the count of three. 3... 2... 1!" Bruce counts down then presses a button, and someone in the Ant-Man suit comes back. A teenager in appears out of it.
"Uh, guys? This...this doesn't feel right." Teenage Scott asks this made all of us to start to panic a bit.
"What is this?" Steve turns to Bruce
"What's going on?" I ask
"That...who is that?" Nat points to the teenager
Bruce pushes another couple of buttons, trying to fix the problem.
"Hold on." Bruce starts Panicking a bit.
"Is that Scott?" Nat asked in disbelief.
"Yes, it's Scott!" The teen Scott angrily yells out
"Hey! Don't take that tone with me mister." I point at him as he looks back at me with terror.
Nat and Steve look at me with confused looks.
"Sorry, Its a habit. I have a moody teenager at home." I sheepishly grin.
Then Teen Scott gets sucked in back into the quantum tunnel, and it appears to be an old man in the Ant-Man suit.
"Ow! My back!" The old man holds onto his back in pain.
"What is this?" Steve asks again and looks down wanting to do something to fix it, but looks too confused on what to press.
"Can I get a little space here." Bruce panics
" Yeah yeah. Can you bring him back?" Steve steps back and panicky asks.
"I'm working on it!" Bruce says tapping the side of the button pad, trying to pull back Scott.
After a moment, another person appears in front of them. This time, it's a baby in the Ant-Man suit.
"It's a baby." Steve deadpans
"It's Scott." Bruce yells out
"As a baby!" I yell out confused as hell
"He'll grow." Bruce yells back
"Bring Scott back!" Steve points towards the baby
Bruce motions to Nat. "When I say kill the power, kill the power."
"Oh my god." She rapidly walks near to the generator." And... Kill it!" Bruce yells making Nat pull down a lever, and everything shuts down. Scott, the normal Scott, gets spewed back out again.
"Somebody peed my pants." Scott mumbles
"Oh thank god." I sigh in relief
"But I don't know if it was "baby" me or "old" me...Or just "me" me." Scott rambles as he looks up at us like if we knew the answer.
Bruce holds up his his hands in a dramatic way and yells "Time travel!"
Steve says nothing. He simply shakes his head and walks away.
"What? I..I see this as an absolute win!" Bruce shrugs at us.
