I had just gotten groceries and was heading back home. Lemar should be picking up Carlos right about now so they be home in 15-20 minutes. Gives me enough time to start making dinner, I thought spaghetti would be good for tonight.
As I went to go get the last few bags of groceries from the car, I look up and stop in my tracts. I saw Steve, Nat and Scott who I thought was dusted away, standing in my front yard. Steve was holding the last four bags in his right hand, with his other hand he holds Nat hand. Scott was just fidgeting in place.
"What are y'all doing here?" I questioned. I went to go get the rest of the bags from Steve but he shook his head.
"I got it." He said, I shrugged and lead them inside.
Scott was the last one in so he shut the door behind him. They looked around to see a regular, homey house. It was decorated with bright colors that felt welcoming and not like a rainbow threw up. There where pictures on the walls of different people, one of them, Y/n stood standing next to a blond haired boy as they both laughed at something. They realized that this boy was in quite a few of them. But suddenly they started to recognize the faces of their family. There where pictures of Y/n and Sam together making funny faces. There was a big one of Wanda, Nat, and her when they kicked out Sam and they had a sleepover together in the hotel when they were on the run. But then they started to see pictures they didn't even know that existed. There was one of Nat and Steve quietly dancing together. There was one of Shuri who was grinning and about to drop a bucket of water on T'Challa who was taking a nap on the couch. Then they got to a serious picture of Steve, Bucky, and Sam looking right at the camera; it was right before the battle. Y/n was so happy to be around Bucky again that she was just taking pictures of everyone and everything, despite the on coming threat. On a nightstand next to a yellow love seat that sat in front of the living room window, sat a frame of Y/n and Bucky on their wedding day. It was a picture that Wanda had took of them and gift wrapped it for their wedding present.
Y/n came back into the living room carrying a try of ice tea, she saw them looking at the pictures. She smiled sadly as she thought of all the happy times with them.
"It was a wedding gift from Wanda." I told them as I set the tray down on the coffee table.
"Now I know you didn't come here to remember the past, you would have visited sooner." I chuckle but none of them laugh."Y/n I don't know if you-" Scott starts to say but I interrupt him.
"I remember you Scott, relax."
"Have you ever-" he starts to say but Nat interrupts him this time.
"Scott, stop. Y/n we might have a chance to bring them back." She looks at me to gauge my reaction.
"Them? Are you sure?" I questioned, its not that I didn't trust them, but why now after five years what changed?
"Scott has a theory, sounds like it could work." Steve says as Scott grabs a cup of the ice tea to drink.
"Mmm, this is really good." He points to the tea
"Thanks, its homemade. Now that theory?"
"Alright. So... five years ago, right before Thanos, I was in a place called the Quantum Realm. The Quantum Realm is like its own microscopic universe. To get in there, you have to be incredibly small. Hope, was supposed to pull me out. And then Thanos happened, and I got stuck in there. The rules of the Quantum Realm aren't like they are up here. Five years past here but there 5 hours went by, time works differently in the Quantum Realm. The only problem is right now, we don't have a way to navigate it. But what if we did? There could be a way to enter the Quantum Realm at a certain point in time and then exit at another point in time. Like before Thanos? We could get the stones before he ever did!" Scott rambled then made a big hand gesture once he was finished.
