Family

That weekend was the first time that everyone was together without a threat against the universe. The family was back together since the first time I meet Wanda and everyone years ago. Carlos finally went back to his parents who where happy and cried when they saw their grown up son, they thanked me and the others as well with food before we left. Tony was making a cook out for all the Avengers, this also included all the new friends we all meet on the way. Me and Bucky had arrived with Wanda and Sam. As we walk to the back I could already see Tony and Steve cooking some hamburgers. Morgan and Peter where running around as Pepper, Nat and Aunt May talked. When they saw us they all waved as we where welcomed with open arms.

Not long after we arrived the Guardians landed in the front. Bruce showed up with his girl cousin who apparently went through a transformation like Bruce. Thor and Loki had arrived in a green mist. I greeted them with hugs which shocked Loki a bit before hugging back. Loki was accepted into the group with little argument, which made Thor extremely happy for his brother. Happy also had came and he kissed May on her cheek when he thought no one was looking.

I had pushed Sam who was talking to Wanda, into the lake with my powers making everyone laugh. Bucky came running behind me and grabbed me as he jumped in as well. Soon enough everyone was jumping in too. It was the perfect afternoon spent with the people I called family. As it got darker we dried off with towels Pepper brought out for us, we decided some fireworks where in order. As I lit the sparklers on with a ball of flame, Morgan and Peter passed them out to everyone. Loki with a bit of magic of his own made a firework light-show in the sky. And Tony being Tony, made his own creation of fireworks in the sky too.

I leaned backwards against Buckys chest as we looked at the fireworks. I looked around for a second to take in all of the people around me.
Steve and Nat where on their backs looking up as they cuddle. Tony, Pepper where on the porch swing talking as they watched Peter and Morgan play in the yard. They looked so happy together. Happy and May where sitting on the steps drinking lemonade as they stared at the sky. Scott, Hope, and his daughter where on a picnic blanket not far from us. The guardians where up on the roof somehow watching the night sky. Bruce and his cousin where at the picnic table looking up. Thor, Loki, Wanda and Sam where all by the pier talking. It looked like Wanda and Loki where really getting along, as I watched the both of them smiling for the first time in awhile.

I was brought out of my thoughts when I felt a kiss on my head. I looked up to see Bucky smiling at me.

"What you thinking?" He asked as he smiled at me.

"How lucky I am...." He looked at me funny before I started to explain.

"Im lucky because I have a family, after so long being alone. I always thought I didn't need a family this big but I was wrong. And Im happy I was because I meet you. I got new brother's who drive me crazy, I have sisters that I love so much. I didn't have this growing up, I was the only child. And I have all this because of death of a special person. If it wasn't for Wanda and Pietro, I wouldn't have been accepted into this crazy...broken...loving family. This family is whole again... and I couldn't be happier." I lean up to kiss him and he kisses back with a wide grin.

"You know... Steve and Nat are thinking of retirement. Steves giving the shield to Sam, he asked if I wanted it but I wanted to see what you think about finally settling down and starting our marriage, like how it was supposed to be in the first place?" He looked down at me.

"Really? You want that? Kids I mean?" I hesitate to ask.

"With you? Of Course.... Always.." he kisses me again as I nod yes.

"Always..." I mumbled against his lips

"Always... I love you." he whispers

This family made me want to live....

Not survive...

Not exist....

Live... because with them...
