Master No More

3rd POV

After Cardin gets Y/N under his thumb they all walk through the Forest of Forever Fall. As they walk Y/N carries several jars with an angered look on his face.

Glynda: "While the forest may seem beautiful, it's not. There're Grimm everywhere so be on alert. You're to gather samples from the trees deeper inside the forest. I'll watch over you but it'll be wise to stay next to your teammates. You're to rendezvoused back here at four, good luck."

They break up to gather sap. Meanwhile with team CRDL they rest under a tree as Y/N gathers all of their sap.

Russel: "You sure it's wise to bully that Y/N guy? He's pretty massive."

Cardin: "Relax. I have him on a tight leash. He's completely under my control."

Sky: "I'm with Russel, you never pick on someone bigger than you. Plus it just don't feel right anymore."

Dove: "Yeah. And there's this crazy look in his eye. Like when you look into them something's staring back."

Cardin: "Calm down pansies. I've got some major dirt on him. If he ever gets out of line I'll just threaten to expose him. Easy as that."

Rustling is heard. The four teammates look to see Y/N carrying four full jars. He sets them down as Cardin smiles.

Cardin: "Very good doggie. Now, come and kneel so I can rest my feet."

With a snarl Y/N gets down on all fours. Cardin then roughly sets his feet on Y/N's back sighing in relaxation.

Cardin: "This' the life. How're you holding up beast?"

Y/N clenches his fists hissing in anger. 

Cardin: "You should never talk back to your master."

He slams his metal boot into Y/N's jaw. Y/N's anger spikes as his eyes lightly shine. About a half mile away an Ursa Major munches on a dead deer. It then looks up as a dazed roar escapes its lips. Then in a trance like state it begins walking away. Back with Y/N we see Cardin now resting his feet on Y/N's head.

Cardin: "Your head's a lot more comfy. Guess it pays to be a dumb animal."

He laughs when a twig snaps. Cardin and his team become afraid as an Ursa Major makes its presence known.

Russel: "That's a big Ursa!!"

Sky: "Run away!!!"

All but Cardin and Y/N run away.

Cardin: "Cowards! Beast, go fight the Ursa."

Y/N stands walking to the Ursa Major. It stands towering over Y/N. However despite the massive height difference it gets low showing its submission to its alpha. It then looks at Cardin emitting a low growl. Y/N lows making the Ursa Major head for Cardin. 

Cardin: "I'm your master and I command you to make this thing stand down!!!"

Y/N: "Master... is... Y/N."

Cardin retrieves his scroll to expose Y/N. But luckily the Ursa Major swats it out of his hands before stepping on it. With his evidence gone Cardin withdraws his mace getting ready to defend himself. However a sleuth of Ursai trudge out of the trees. They all creep closer when Cardin is completely surrounded.

Cardin: "Stay away from me."

Y/N: "Leave... me... alone."

Cardin: "No way!"

Y/N chitters making the sleuth lurch forward. Cardin screams like a girl dropping his mace.

Cardin: "Okay okay!"

Y/N growls making the sleuth cease all movement.

Y/N: "Promise."

Cardin: "I promise to never bother you or anyone close to you ever again."

Y/N yips. The sleuth walks away as the Ursa Major stays with its predatory eyes fixed on Cardin. Staring at the Ursa Major Y/N snarls. The Ursa Major slightly roars walking away. With his blackmailer dealt with Y/N walks back to the others where he's met with Ruby.

Ruby: "There you are, where the heck were you?"

Y/N: "Busy."

Ruby: "Oh, well it's good to see you. Thought you were starting to avoid me."

Y/N: "Never... avoid... Ruby."

She smiles with a slight tint of pink hitting her cheeks. Some time later we find team RWBY plus Y/N walking through Vale.

Weiss: "I absolutely can't wait for the Vytal Festival, it's gonna be amazing."

Ruby: "It's creepy seeing you smile like this Weiss."

Weiss: "I'm shocked you're not smiling. The amount of planning going into this is enough to make me wanna faint."

Yang: "So why're we even here on a Friday?"

Weiss: "Students are to be arriving today. So it's my duty to welcome them here."

Blake: "Or you just wanna spy on them so you can beat them in the tournament."

Weiss: "You have no proof of that."

Ruby: "What's going on there?"
