Anima

3rd POV

Several months after the fall of Beacon we find a few of the heroes on the continent of Anima. They walk through the woods when the ground begins rumbling. Y/N's senses go off as he looks to a cliff. A Petra Gigas then jumps off the cliff towards him and the others.

Jaune: "Alright guys, this is it. Let's take this thing down!"

They all nod. Y/N morphs into a Manticore then takes flight. As he buzzes around the Petra Gigas it tries to swat him out of the sky. However Nora swings her hammer taking the Petra Gigas to its knee. 

From there Ruby swings her scythe at the Petra Gigas' mask. But the attack is blocked as the Petra Gigas punches her away getting back to its feet. As she flies backwards Y/N manages to catch her before she can slam into a tree.

Ruby: "Thanks."

Y/N yaps. Meanwhile Nora swings her hammer destroying the Petra Gigas' arm. Backing her up Y/N launches fireballs at the Petra Gigas. With it distracted Ruby runs in swinging her scythe at its legs. It goes down allowing Ren to slam his blades into the mask killing the Geist within it.

Mayor: "We thank you deeply. You've performed a great service."

Ruby: "Just helping those in need."

Mayor: "We were having so much trouble from that Geist that we were starting to consider the possibility of relocating."

Ruby: "We're heading to Mistral. Plenty of room for you and your people."

Mayor: "That's kind, but we'll have to decline. We have a way of life here and we don't wanna abandon it. I just wish we could pay you more."

Ren: "Our arranged amount is more than enough."

They bow then head down the road. Along the way Ruby groans as she looks over the map.

Ruby: "We're lost."

Jaune: "If memory serves me correctly then the next town oughta be Shion."

Y/N: "Have you been there before?"

Jaune: "Lots of times with my family."

Ruby: "What'd you do?"

Jaune: "All you could really do was hike or camp. When we camped I got my own tent because I special. Also so my sisters would quit braiding my hair."

Ruby: "Wasn't a fan of the look?"

Jaune: "All they ever did was pig tails. But I think the warrior's wolf tail is more my style."

Y/N: "That's just a ponytail."

Jaune: "I stand by what I said."

Nora: "Oh no."

They look up from the map to see Shion in ruins.

Jaune: "Let's check for survivors."

They run into the town. After looking around they're called over by Ren.

Jaune: "What happened here?"

Man: "Bandits. Then with all the panic... came..."

Y/N: "Grimm."

All but Ren huddle up.

Ruby: "We've gotta get him to the next village's doctor."

Y/N: "I can carry him."

Nora: "What if he doesn't make it?"

Jaune: "He's got to."

Ruby: "If we leave now then his chances will be better. I'll go on ahead and-"

Ren: "Guys, he's gone."

They look to see the man slumped against the wall. 

Nora: "Should we at least burry him?"

Ren: "Let's just leave. It's not safe here."

They exit the town. That night everyone lays in their sleeping bag while Y/N stays up. He stares at the moon when a low growl is heard. He looks around but finds nothing. Then all of a sudden his eyes switch from E/C to blood red. In a trance like state he turns into a Beowolf. He walks to Jaune picking him up who continues to sleep. Y/N opens his mouth to devour Jaune when Ruby's soft voice echoes in the night.

Ruby: "Y/N, no. Don't... die."

Her sleep talking breaks Y/N out of his trance as he gently sets Jaune down. He then just walks away thinking. What came over him? And what was that sense he felt? The sense that someone or something, was controlling him, making his body move on its own.
