Train Troubles

3rd POV

In the wilderness of Mistral we see a train make its way down the tracks. Going inside and to one of the passenger cars we see the heroes taking this moment to relax. 

Yang: "So what's the plan now?"

Qrow: "We make our way to Atlas. From there we gather the help of Ironwood and hopefully have enough fighters to bring the fight to Salem."

Weiss: "That's gonna take a lot of hope."

Ruby: "But if we all work together then I'm sure we can pull it off."

They all share a smile when the train rumbles. Heading to the top they spot Manticores buzzing around.

Blake: "What's the play Ruby?"

Ruby: "Fight."

Y/N morphs into a Manticore and launches fireballs. One Manticore goes down as three land in front of him. He quickly switches to a Beowolf. The first Manticore brings down its claws. Y/N jumps to the side and swings his claws beheading it. The second Manticore manages to get close cutting open Y/N's back. 

After a roar of pain he leans down biting off the second Manticore's head. The final Manticore roars then runs towards Y/N. When it gets close he rolls morphing into a Borbatusk. He then uses his tusk to puncture the Manticore's heart killing it. Morphing back to normal he looks forward going wide eyed.

Y/N: "Tunnel!!!!"

He and the others dive back into the train. Once inside they huddle up in one of the passenger cars.

Weiss: "What do we do?"

Jaune: "We've gotta find a way to get those Grimm off of us."

Ren: "He's right. We won't make it to Argus if they keep hounding us like this."

They talk plans while Y/N looks out the window at the Manticores. He then looks back at his friends.

Y/N: "I've got a plan."

Yang: "Let's hear it."

Y/N: "Back when I as Beacon I would go out on nightly hunts."

Weiss: "How's this helping?"

Y/N: "Whenever I hunted some Grimm seemed to come to me. If I had to guess they were drawn to my presence."

Blake: "So what you're saying is that we could use you as a beacon to keep the Grimm in one spot."

Y/N: "Yes. We keep them focused while disconnecting the train cars allowing the passengers to get to Argus safely."

Nora: "But that would mean you'll get left behind."

Ruby: "He won't be alone. I'll go with him."

Yang: "If that's the case then so will I."

The rest of her team plus Qrow join them.

Qrow: "Can't let you kids have all the fun."

Y/N: "Alright we have a plan. Let's get to it. Jaune, you and your team will be in charge of the passengers."

They nod leaving to heard the passengers. Meanwhile the others head to the back cars to aid in fighting the Manticores. When everyone's in place Y/N cuts the coupling before hopping on top of the train. There the Manticores begin dive bombing landing on the train roof. 

The others join Y/N as they all begin fighting. Y/N morphs into an Ursa Major and brings down his claws tearing through two Manticores. A third one springs forward sinking its claws into Y/N's chest. 

He hollers before swinging his claws upwards cutting the Manticore in half. As it dies a Sphinx lands roaring at Y/N. He roars back switching to a Beringel. He pounds his chest before running towards the Sphinx. 

It swings its mighty paw but Y/N jumps onto its back. It roars spreading out its wings trying to take flight. Y/N however grabs its wings ripping them off. As it screeches in pain Blake wraps her ribbon around the Sphinx's neck.

Yang grabs Blake's gun and runs behind the Sphinx. Then with a mighty pull the Sphinx's head is pulled upwards taking its front paws off the ground. Ruby then rushes in using her scythe to cut the Sphinx in half. 

As it dies it launches a final fireball that destroys the track ahead of the train. The train wheels hit the broken track making the train barrel off into the woods. Y/N loses all footing and goes flying off the train.
