Lost Teammate

3rd POV

Everyone looks down the street to see a store surrounded by police.

Yang: "What happened?"

Cop1: "Second dust robbery this week. This place's going to the dogs. Just doesn't make any sense, who needs that much dust?"

Cop2: "The thinking the uh White Fang?"

Cop1: "I'm thinking we ain't paid enough."

Weiss: "The White Fang, what troublesome individuals."

Blake: "What's you issue?"

Weiss: "I just simply don't like people who think it right to carelessly break the law."

Blake: "They're just voicing their opinions."

Weiss: "By committing severe crimes."

Blake: "Then they really wanna be heard."

Ruby: "Now hold on, we don't even know if it was the White Fang. For all we know it was that Torchwick guy who's still on the loose."

Man: "Somebody stop him!"

They look to find Sun running away from some cops.

Yang: "There goes the competition."

Weiss: "We've gotta study him!"

They all run after Sun. But when they round a corner they're stopped by Weiss running into and knocking someone over.

Weiss: "No he got away."

Yang: "Uh Weiss?"

She points alerting her to a certain orange haired girl.

Penny: "Hello."

Yang: "Hi. You uh wanna get up?"

Penny: "Yes."

She flips to her feet.

Penny: "My name's Penny."

Ruby: "I'm Ruby, and this is Weiss, Yang, Blake and Y/N."

Penny: "Pleasure to meet you all."

Weiss: "Well sorry for bumping into you. But we really must be going."

Ruby: "Take care friend."

They walk away. But Penny gets ahead of them.

Penny: "What'd you call me?"

Ruby: "Uh..."

Penny: "You said friend. Am I truly your friend?"

Ruby looks to her friends for an answer. Her teammates shake and mouth no. Meanwhile Y/N does what he once saw on tv. He sticks a thumbs up while flashing an open mouth smile.

Ruby: "Sure, why not?"

Penny: "Sensational! I've always wanted a friend. I can't wait to do all the things us normal girls do."

Y/N: "Friend... too?"

She looks at Y/N. Her eyes then light up.

Penny: "Two friends! This' truly a great day."

Yang: "So why're you in Vale Penny?"

Penny: "I'm here for the tournament."

Weiss: "If that's the case then do you know that no good monkey?"

Blake: "Stop. He's a person too."

Weiss: "He's a law breaker. So he must be referred to as such."

Blake groans walking away. Back at Beacon her and Blake continue to disagree.

Weiss: "I understand your concern Blake, but the White Fang is just beyond being viewed differently by me. They've done horrible things to my family and friends of my family. Therefore they'll continue to just be killers to me."

Blake: "And why do you think we're like that!?"

Silence fills the air before a door slams shut. That Sunday RWYY search for Blake. They then split up to cover more ground. As Y/N walks he closes his eyes relying on his nose. Like a bloodhound he sniffs out Blake tracking her to a docking yard. He gets there to find a huge fight commencing.

Y/N rushes in immediately knocking out one White Fang member. Another slams a staff into his back. Annoyed he backhands the member away. A third member uses this moment to successfully stab Y/N in his side.

He hollers in pain before punching his attacker away. He looks at his wound which begins leaking black blood. Pushing it to the side he grabs the heads of two White Fang members before slamming them into each other knocking them both out.

Y/N turns locking eyes with Roman Torchwick. Y/N runs to him bringing down his fist. Roman blocks it with his cane but still gets taken to his knee. Not letting up Y/N kicks his chest sending him backwards. But before he can leave Y/N grabs his ankle. He then slings him over his shoulder onto the ground. 

Roman kicks out Y/N's knee taking him down. On his knee Roman springs to his feet swinging his cane into Y/N's jaw. Y/N looks over his shoulder before rolling to avoid Roman's foot. Y/N springs to his feet grabbing Roman's face. Then lifting him off the ground he's swung into a shipping container.

Police sirens wail as the White Fang begin fleeing. Pushing past his shattered aura Roman slinks into a bullhead fleeing the area. Meanwhile the heroes arrive back at Beacon where Ruby stops Y/N. Then walking into his dorm she patches him up.

Ruby: "That's a deep cut. But looks like it didn't puncture anything. Good news is that your aura will heal you you up nicely."

Y/N: "No... aura."

Ruby: "What? Then how do you heal?"

Y/N shows her his scarred chest.

Ruby: "Oh."

She finishes his bandage.

Ruby: "Promise me Y/N. Promise me you'll be more careful. I don't wanna lose my friend."

Y/N: "Promise."
