The wait is awful, this has to be worse than waiting on the trackers. Dad is out in the front yard pacing back and forth, in long strides. At least, I am glued to the spot watching the ground and air above the tree tops.

Storm is the same thoughts of not wanting to stop watching, because we don't want to miss when our mate comes back.

Dinner has long since been served and cleaned, but I wouldn't go in and neither would Dad.

Before long I see everyone run from the forest, but I don't see Fredrick yet. Storm for the first time begins to panic and it just about sends me into over drive.

"Where is Fredrick?" I ask as soon as Abbs shifts, my command coming out not meaning too.

"He will be here in just a few minutes. He is flying above the tree tops, that slowed him down some not being able to go through the trees." Abbs answers, not even offended by my reaction.

Dad already has Mom in his arms and loving on her tightly.

Storm's panic is making it hard to let our senses take over. I just focus back on the sky above the trees and I make out a form coming this way.

"I will need the Doc out here with the medication to keep the prisioner from being able to use his magic. Since we don't know exactly how long the person will sleep." I call over my shoulder.

I should have had already called for Doc to be close by on guard for when they came back. I hear when Aunt Layla says she has linked him and he is on his way out of the pack house.

I bounce between my feet as Fredrick is in clear view. Abbs tried to put a hand on my shoulder, but Storm was not having anyone touch us but our mate right now with the state she has up worked up in currently.

Fredrick slows and gets close to the ground and places the body of the Follower down without just dropping him a few feet from the ground. He keeps his head down and in a slight turn, before he seems to go a few feet higher and move over to the side before landing with a hard thump.

The doctor is quick to rush out to the Follower and already has the syringe ready. I turn my head and watch has he administers the medication. I don't want the Follower to be harmed, but just not be able to use his magic. If he was this close then he must have meant harm. But the small glance at him tells me it is a younger male.

"Get him to the cells, before he wakes." I order as several warriors have been called onto the field, thanks to Abbs.

Fredrick has watched from the one side he has let show of his shifted form. I see that his shorts are tied to a back leg, moving over I untie them and hold them out.

Fredrick is quick to shift and sends a quick thanks to me as he pulls them on. I look over his body now that he is in human form. His head not being tilted shows me, it was tilted so he could see out of his left eye. That is because the right isn't open and can't open due to dry crusted blood covering it, while more blood is flowing free from a gash on his forehead.

"What in the hell happened to you?" Spills out before I can get it out much nicer than it sounded.

"It's nothing darling, doesn't even hurt." Fredrick steps up to me, now that the Follower has been taking off.

"Nothing! It is covering your entire eye to where you can't even see." I all but scream at him.

Storm is still in a panic and fuels me to be in the same state. This was supposed to be a simple easy trip where no one got injured!

"Butterfly, head wounds do tend to bleed more. I am not dizzy or feeling off, so I know it is not as bad as it seems. I have had worse than this before." Fredrick wraps an arm around me.

The mate bond tingles spread over me and it calms me, but Storm is not relenting. I wonder if she is more attached because we share the same person in human form. She doesn't have a wolf to connect too with him not having one. His shifted form is just a different part of him and not like the talking type she is with me.

I may need to speak with the wolves that have human mates and see if their wolves do the same. Oh moon, it really doesn't even matter I guess. I just need to get a more handle on my own emotions when we are on two seperate fields coming to Fredrick it seems like.

Doc is quick to have already seen the wound and is cleaning the immediate area around it with his kit. How did he know he would need it? Always ready, is the only thing I know of.

Storm has us basically staring as it is cleaned and the bleeding stopped. It just need a few of those tape things that look funny.

They need to stop touching mate or I can do somethings to those fingers. Storm growls.

You stop that right now! Doc is just helping to make sure Fredrick is fine and to where it will heal properly. Or do you want our mate to keep bleeding? I snap at Storm, not meaning too but she needs to calm some on her level of possessive state over him.

"I will clean the rest of the blood, Doc." I smile at him.

I turn to see everyone else on the field. "Thank you for finding a Follower and bring him in so that we can hopefully get answers and bring our members back. We will meet up in the morning, after we have ate and rested. He won't be going anywhere tonight."

Everyone leaves and shuffles into the house.

I pulled Fredrick behind me and up to our room. I back him up and push him until he is sitting on the side of the bed. Running to the bathroom, I grab a rag and warm it with water before going back to him on the bed.

I gently start removing the blood that covers a good portion of the right side of his face. My face is pulled down in a frown as Storm is still ranting, but also my feelings from right before he left is coming out hard.

"It truly is not that bad darling. Calm down for me and breath. It is no big deal." Fredrick shrugs.

In my moment of shock, Fredrick pulls me down in his lap. I jerk back up onto my feet, causing him to look at me funny.

"No big deal." I use air quotes while I talk.

"It is a big deal to me you moron because I love you! So, yeah, I am going to freaking worry about you!" I am honest and bluntly tell him how I feel.
