Today has been something else

Today has been something else. So many emotions have filtered through and I have talked each one over with Adira. She has been amazing not only seeing her fight with deadly strikes, but to how she handled the children.

The oldest child that was here today was sixteen, while the youngest is four. I am sick just to know that they had hid during the entire fight, hearing everything that happened. What did I ever see in the Followers growing up?

At least they are all gone now. It was a very sad time when we was talking with the oldest child after dinner. We found out the children that had been practicing magic to fight was deemed useless and stripped of magic being sent off to live with the humans. That is why there wasn't any older than sixteen.

My blood was at a boiling rage, it didn't help when the thought of Chase being one of those children being treated like that. It was hard to control not shifting when my mind went to how that could have been Chase, if he was not here with us.

Adira steps into our room, and my mind goes straight to our son.

"Is Chase okay?" I ask her.

"Yes, he is okay. I would say it shook him up some from today, but he done well with Melissa in the safe room. She said he didn't like us being out in the fight, but understood why we were." Adira drops onto the bed.

"Let's make a baby." Spills from my mouth before I even think about it, shocking myself.

Adira's head pops up. "What?"

"I want to have children with you. Well, more since we have adopted Chase. I know it could become a handful, with Chase being a little slower mentally but we could handle it." I move to where I rub up and down her back.

Adira rolls and kisses me gently. She doesn't say a word further, but pours so many different emotions through the bond and the kiss.

Love, fear, and worry fill through the bond.

"What's going on in your head?" I hum, pulling back from the kiss.

"With Chase it feels natural, but I am worried what it will be like having an actual baby. What about training and everything else I do as Alpha?" Adira's eyes gloss over.

This is first time I have ever seen my mate so unsure and almost scared like.

"Everything can be figured out as it comes to us, because together we are strong. We don't have to, butterfly if you truly don't want this. I am more than happy just having Chase as our son." I rub my thumb over her cheek.

Adira moves back and kisses me gently.

I turn her over and we slowly remove our clothes, until we are skin to skin. I slip into her sweet heat and feel right at home.

Adira moans into the kiss and rocks her hips. I pull out and slowly push back in, making love to my mate. Neither of us in a hurry to reach our finish.

We are cherishing every inch of each other, as our hands roam over our bodies. Our hands meet and I wrap mine with her small ones, the very hands that can drop a grown man to his knees before her.

I can feel as Adira starts to shiver under me, as my own release is building.

Giving a few more gentle moves, I go to remove myself from her heat not knowing what her true answer is to having a baby and knowing she is not protected.

Adira senses it and wraps her legs around my waist, rocking against me the entire time. She keeps a firm hold on my hands and her lips molded onto mine.

I lose control of my release and spill into her warm heat. Letting out a gutteral moan, causing Adira to spasm around me again.

Adira lets the hold her legs have around me go, and I pull back to look at her face.

"You didn't have too." I whisper against her lips.

"Yes I did. You knew the right things to say to me and I want a large family with you. I just didn't know it until then." Adira kisses my mark.

I feel myself harden again and so does Adira based off the smirk on her face.

We spend the rest of the night tied together, as morning comes much sooner than we both wanted.

A light knock on the door, brings us out of the haze.

I just up and throw on some shorts, while Adira makes a dash to the bathroom. Hearing the water start, I move to the door and open it seeing a smiling Chase.

"Morning buddy. Sleep well?" I ask him.

"Y-yeah." Chase nods.

"Let me get ready and we can go get some breakfast." I smile at Chase, trying not to yawn.

I am going to be in some great need for coffee, although it was all worth it last night. It takes everything in me not to let my smirk out, just thinking about it.

"I will go read a book." Chase smiles and walks towards his room.

I join Adira in the bathroom, just as she is stepping out of the shower.

"I missed it." I pout not getting anymore time with her alone.

Adira laughs, giving me a kiss before pulling back to finish drying off.

I wash down quickly and am dressed ready to head out before Adira is done drying her hair.

"I am going to take Chase down and get some food." I give her a peck on the cheek and make my way to the door.

We are in the kitchen within a short time and Adira joins us soon after. I already had her plate ready and sitting in her spot.

Abigail is holding her newly adopted little girl, while she helps her eat. Zeke is just gleaming watching them together, the new proud father he is.

"We need to do something with outside." Abigail speaks up.

"Everything is covered, that is as far as things got yesterday. Everyone needed the rest. Today I will go out and remove the issue." Adira tells us.

I catch that they was talking about the dead bodies out in the field. My guess is Adira using her ability to just burn them.

Definitely need this coffee, as I get the feeling it will be a very long day of cleaning up.

Anyone expecting all of this to happen in the chapter? Hehe

It is cute seeing how they change up wording to protect the small ears they are now holding and around.
