We emerge from the forest line, right on the back side of the training field. Fredrick goes straight towards the medical wing.
Doc? Fredrick is bringing you the three members that was taken. They were chained with silver. Once, you have the members stable, I have a Follower that needs a patch job done. I link Doc.
I will have the other physician help in aiding our members. If the Follower is in need for the patch job to stay alive and if you're comfortable Alpha, I could send one of the members training to do it up? Doc links back.
Perfect! Send one that is in training to become a doctor, they could use the practice and I only need this one alive long enough for answers. It would be best so you and the other Doctor can focus on our members. I link back.
I drag the Follower to the cells and the guards don't say a word on how barbaric the Follower is being treated. They simple open the cells, and I drag the Follower in. Releasing it from my teeth the leg just lands limp.
I pad my way out of the cells, in search of some clothes so I can shift back. Once I am about half way out of the field, I see Chase running up to me.
I sit back on my hind legs, I don't want him to be scared of seeing me in my wild form. Mom is not far behind him, carrying some clothes.
Chase stops a few steps in front of me. I decide trying to smile would just scare him, especially since I know I have blood on my teeth. So, I keep my mouth closed and ear perked up. Storm is watching and so giddy feeling wanting Chase to accept her too in her own form.
"I can feel you're Mama." Chase stutters, looking unsure.
Storm and I nod our head.
"Chase, this is Adira in her wolf, Storm's form." Mom tells Chase, softly.
Chase steps up closer and immediately throws himself on me, wrapping his arms around my neck. Storm let's our chest rumble in with his acceptance of her form.
Chase laughs, when he feels the vibrations. His hands start stroking our fur and he mumbles how soft we feel.
We caught Fredrick walking up to us out of the corner of our eye. Fredrick smiles warmly at Chase petting on me. Fredrick squats down, joining Chase in dotting on us. Storm is eating up the attention she is getting from the men in our life.
"How about we go and get some lunch, buddy?" Fredrick asks Chase.
Chase follows Fredrick into the pack house, as Mom hands me the clothes.
"That was such a sweet sight to watch." Mom gushes.
"How was he when we left?" I ask, after shifting and dressing in record time.
"As a worried mother or Alpha?" Mom snickers.
I give her the look she knows all to well.
"Chase done wonderful. We went over some simple school lessons, just to see where he is at in it all. He is strong in some areas then not so much in others, but he has the willingness to learn." Mom answers.
"The training doctor is in the cells now." Abbs says coming up to us.
"Good, just let the guards know that once he is awake to alert us please." I tell Abbs.
"Shouldn't take to long, he wounds were not bad. He lost blood but the small patching job will hold him over. I am ready to get some more action in." Abbs bounces between her feet.
"You're just ready to cause more pain." I chide.
"Bingo! Seeing that young boy and then today how they hid behind the tree and kept our members, I am beyond ready." Abbs gives a wicked grin.
"That is why you two are two peas in a pod. You both are hard but have soft sides too." Mom chuckles, walking into the house.
"What's it like being a mom now?" Abbs asks.
"Honestly, with Chase it feels natural. I always worried about being a mom, but when Storm and I saw him it was almost an instant thing." I smile, with a small shrug.
"I worry about going soft." Abbs whispers.
I look at her and she seems to be in her own little world. I try to pick at her scent, but I can't tell a difference.
"Nah, soft towards the child yes, but otherwise nope. Are you?" I try to ask around.
"No. Zeke is ready though, we have been mated for years now and it is about the only missing piece." Abbs sighs.
"Go for it then if that is what you want too. We can't worry about going soft, change is good and the pack will still florish." I tell her, turning into the Luna mode.
"I still don't get how you can switch between Alpha and Luna." Abbs laughs.
I shrug and laugh with her.
The back door swings wide, as Chase comes running back out.
"Mama come on I helped make lunch! Dad and Melissa let me stir the food." Chase exclaims, his face glowing with happiness.
I put my hand in his hair, and scratch at his head.
"I am on the way." I smile at him.
Abbs seems to be in awe, watching the interreaction I have with Chase.
Chase runs back into the house.
"See Abbs, it is easy to switch between. I went out today and it fueled me to be as aggressive as I was, sure. I do worry about a time that could come and he sees me in a more angry state, but it is part of our life." I say, looking over at Abbs.
We walk in the house and into the kitchen. The first I notice is Chase's laugh when it hits my ears.
It brings more of a feeling in my chest, that I can only think is love for this young teenager.
Moving in further, I watch as Fredrick is making faces at the food and trying to push his plate to Chase.
"Here is a little something for you, Adira." Melissa catches my attention.
She hands me a steaming cup of her famous coffee. I thank her and take it with me to the counter, where the boys are messing around.
"This looks delicious." I tell them.
We all enjoy our mid-day meal together. My mind is wondering in all different directions. One thing stands out the most, I don't want this to go away, the fun times. No matter how many more bad days ahead we may have, I want to make sure there is something good in everyday.

Got some wisdom words going from Adira here with Abbs.
Chase seems to be fitting in smoothly. Loving the moments he had with Adira seeing her in Storm's form.
Let's hope that Follower is awake soon for questioning!
