I am smiling like a fool the entire time we are waiting on Doc to come back into the room. He took a simple blood sample for Adira and was excited the entire time, rushing out the the lab. I figure he is staying with the sample just waiting for the results.

Chase has been so happy and even told Doc he knows that his Mama is already.

That is something Adira and I are going to need to talk about and soon. Chase is showing signs of his powers, even though Adira says she has noticed he never uses them, they are still there. This could be how his powers are coming out.

No matter how we teach the children that are now a part of our pack, they will still show and have signs of their magic abilities as they grow up. The important thing is how they channel it and use them.

I have been doing more research on the Followers and what information is known about them. It has been a surprise to learn that the small amount of magic they actually hold. Their magic used to be used for good. Like healing others and providing help. Not stealing from the earth like they were doing.

The Doctor comes back in pulling a machine behind him.

"The blood work is positive and based off the levels in the blood, I would say you're quite a bit along." Doc says, setting up the machine.

"If you would just lay on your back, we will do the ultrasound on your stomach first to see if we can get a view this way. I know you want both of them in the room with you, so this is the less invasive way." Doc quickly explains.

"Right there." The Doc points.

I notice the small image on the screen. Chase leans in and stares at it. Adira is looking, with a smile on her face as her eyes switch between her normal color and the bright green.

"You are right at around thirteen weeks, so your already in the second trimester." Doc laughs.

"Am I getting a baby brother or sister?" Chase asks, bouncing up and down with happiness.

"It is still to early to tell for the ultrasound. Although, we can listen to the heartbeat." Doc answers.

"That is just as exciting to hear the noise louder." Chase whispers, still boucing.

Adira grabs Chase's hand, while I put a hand on his shoulder. Trying to help calm him from so much exictement, even though I am right there with him.

The little sound of a fast thumping fills the room. Tears springs to my eyes, I don't care what the gender is, that little heartbeat and seeing the little one has me wrapped already.

In no time the ultrasound is done and we are walking back to the main part of the pack house.

Adira holds my hand as Chase skips in front of us. No sooner than we are in the back door and in the kitchen, Chase tells everyone there how he was right about his Mama being pregnant.

Adira is pulled out of my grasp, as everyone shows her affection and happiness. Tyler walks up and pats my back.

"Well done." Tyler smiles.

I am a little confused on his simple two words, which he catches onto as he laughs.

"You made my little girl happy. That is all that counts." Tyler laughs.

"She is my everything along with Chase and now this baby on the way." I smile.

"There is nothing like it." Tyler laughs, before moving over to hug Adira.

I watch soaking in the happiness.

We are seated at the table enjoy the delicious dinner that was made. Everyone keeps sending their happiness over. The ladies have gotten together and started talking themes for a room. They are ready and not even waiting to find out the gender, Adira mentioned wanting it to be neutral no matter what the baby is.

Before I know it, I am with Chase as he is getting ready for bed. I have just taught him about shaving, since he wanted the 'pricky things off' as he called it. It took everything in me not to laugh, but a sense of pride floods through me that he wanted me to show him. I felt like a proud father the entire time.

Sometimes it's hard remembering he is fourteen.

Chase gives me a hug and lays down in bed, I turn the light off for him since I am walking out. Closing his door, I walk to our room.

Adira is already in some pajamas and turning the sheets down.

"Today's been a wonderful day." Adira smiles at me.

"That is has, butterfly." I move over and kiss her lips.

"There is one matter we need to figure out and soon." I tell her.

"What's that?" Adira eyes me curiously.

"Nothing bad. We just need to figure out how to help teach and train the children that came into the pack. Chase is of age to start using magic he was when he came here. Even if he doesn't want to learn magic, he is shows signs of having them." I explain.

"The others will follow too then." Adira sighs.

"They will. It is something I have been taking the time to research. Did you know that before they became Followers for my father, they used to be common healers?" I ask, snarling the one part.

"I didn't know that. They just learned the other magic from Juilian then." Adira takes in the information.

"Maybe we can teach them it is okay to embrace the magic. Use it for good like their ancestors used to do." I add.

"I like that a lot. Bring them back to what they are meant to be not what they was turned into. What would they be called though? We don't want to call them Followers anymore and have that name tied to them being innocent in the whole matter." Adira ponders.

"They was just called Healers, from all the reading I have done lately." I shrug.

"That is fitting since it is what their powers are truly meant for. It makes sense why Chase knew the pregnancy before we did. As a Healer they are going to be more in tune to everyones body. I am willing to bet the oldest that came in, the female at sixteen is already showing those traits as well, but just ignores them. None of the children that are old enough to use the magic wants too, for fear of what their parents were." Adira nods taking everything in quickly.

"We just need to gather them and help them to embrace it. Learn to use it for good. We can bring out the old information and show them. In all the reading I done, I found the old spells and chants that helps heal and all the good ones they could learn if they wish to embrace the Healer side of them." I add.

"I love that. We definitely will be talking with them soon, lets allow them to get a little more comfortable. Everything is still so fresh in their minds from the attack. They don't need to back track on the progress they have made, and it will give us time to pull all the information we can from the time before Healers became Followers." Adira finishes.

I smile and kiss her gently. We lay in bed, wrapping our arms around each other. This is how I want to spend every night for the rest of my life.
