Within just five minutes after Abbs left the office, just about everyone from the normal little crew starts pouring in. This office really does get small when it holds Uncle Nathan, Mom, Dad, my brothers, Alastair, Melissa, Aunt Layla, Hailey, along with Fredrick and myself. I figure Zeke will be coming in with Abbs when she gets the medication from the doctor.
It makes it easier everyone that is close and important to me being here all at once. Dad is quick to start asking questions on what's going on, and my brothers were both right there along with him. Alastair and Uncle Nathan stand behind them and just took everything in mainly.
Between Fredrick and myself, we get everything explained on what we have figured out so far. Although there is still so many holes within the little plan we would like to attempt, everyone did agree it could the best chance we have.
"I want to go with Abigail." Uncle Nathan chimes in.
Fredrick seems to be caught off guard, but I already had a feeling he was going to want to go. Melissa looks slightly relieved, I know she still worries for Abbs and I guess that is part of parents that never stop.
"If that is what you wish to do, I won't stop you Uncle Nathan." I gently smile at him.
"A group of three is really all that needs to go, though. This small mission needs to be quick and as quiet as possible." I look around the room.
I can tell Dad wants to go, but agrees with me on no one else going.
"How are you going to be capable of flying though under the radar?" Andrew asks, looking over at Fredrick.
"I can fly in between the trees depending on how close they are in the area we find a Follower in. If the trees are to close I can fly as close to the leaves as I can. It will be the quickest way though, instead of trying to drag the body through the forest. If I am caught then the others will be focused on me alone and it will allow Abigail and Nathan to slip back through and back home." Fredrick has no hesitation about his part.
My feelings grow even heavier for my mate. This right here, he is quick to let himself possibly get caught so that any one else can get free and back home. He doesn't say it like there is any other way for it to happen, this is exactly what it is like being Alpha we will put our life down before any other pack member. Even if it a part I secretly hate he would do so quickly.
"Let's try to not let that happen though. I want you back home too." I give Fredrick a stern but gentle look.
Fredrick smiles over at me and moves over wrapping his arms around me.
Uncle Nathan walks over to the door and picks up a good size case.
"I had one of the others that knows the storage area grab the weapons we need for this." Uncle Nathan answers the questions before they start.
Abbs runs back in just a second later, holding onto three vials close to her chest.
"I have the medication. Doc says that these can be split in half and it would give us six shots in total." Abbs tells us in one breath.
Of course, Zeke is running in a second later. He moves over to stand the closest he can to Abbs.
"Where are we going to look around first?" Abbs asks looking directly at Fredrick.
"The best choice is going to be where the rented house is. They may be camping out around the area." Fredrick answers.
"Do they believe in border watch or is there something they have in place?" Abbs keeps going over the important questions for finer details.
"With how they are with magic, it honestly wouldn't surprise me if they have wards in place." Fredrick tilts his head.
Abbs looks at me and Mom, her mind is right where I know ours went. Mom and I are the only two that can really tell if there is anything being used by the feelings we get.
We can't risk anyone else going though. I know Dad will not let Mom go without him.
"I will fly and try to lure a single one out. You guys will be able to smell when we are close and stop immediately just so there's not a way to get caught in a ward." Fredrick offers.
"I could go." Mom speaks up.
"Absoutely not." Dad turns red.
Mom gives Dad one single look and you can just see how Dad slowly relents as their eyes glaze over. Probably for the best their coversation is in the privacy a mind link gives. Adam and Andrew look right at me, I am no help because the three of us have the same look having seen only a few times when Mom got mad with Dad.
"Mom." I call her and wait until I have her attention.
"I am going one extra body should be fine, as long as Fredrick, Abigail, and Nathan are fine with it." Mom says with the authority she still holds.
Not a one of us argues with her.
"Good, this will be the easiest and quickest way. Instead of Fredrick possibly luring more than just one Follower to Nathan and Abigail. They have six shots but what if it is more than that? We can go in and around if need be." Mom says with determination of her own.
"Adira your to important to this pack now and not knowing how long this could take, you have to stay here. I will go and feel out." Mom finishes her own little speech.
Dad is not happy at all, but I can understand that now also because I don't like Fredrick going either.
During the little banter that has went on, Uncle Nathan has been quick at work. I see that there is six darts on the coffee table ready to go.
Dad is already a bundle of nerves, and for the first time glancing at Alastair he is not fairing any better. It has to be hard for him to let Mom go, but he didn't even put up a fight with her.
"We leave and do this now." Uncle Nathan speaks up.
Everyone walks down the stairs and we gather out in the front yard.
Dad comes up and stands next to me.
"You guys stay safe and link us if anything goes the wrong way." I tell them.
Moving over I give Fredrick a kiss, before standing back by Dad.
We watch until the four of them are out of sight. As soon as the forest seems to swallow them whole, the nerves kick into overdrive. It takes all of my will power to block the emotions from Fredrick, he doesn't need to feel this because I need him focused and safe.
What type of Alpha have I became? Am I to soft now? This is what love does, I never knew I could be like this.
Wait.... love? Moon! I love Fredrick.
