I am sitting in the office going over the message from last night. I have read it over and over again.
It doesn't make sense in the least bit. I don't want to call my parents into this, but I could always talk to Uncle Nathan and Alastair.
I put out a mind link to see if they will come up the office, maybe they can shed some light on this. I just want to see if it is some prank or something to take seriously.
I didn't even do the training this morning with the warriors, Abbs and Adam done it for me.
The notes I have been going through from the last battle that happened here in the pack, mentions that everyone parished. Dad's notes and Uncle Nathan's all read the same.
It's possible someone got away unnoticed. It happens in times of battle. Storm states the obvious.
Dad is more careful than that though, so I can't see that happening.
I run my hands through my hair, letting out a huff. A knock at the door catches my attention.
"You both don't need to knock. This was where you guys knew more than I still do." I tell Uncle Nathan and Alastair.
"Just being formal, yes." Alastair walks in, taking a seat in front of the desk.
Uncle Nathan does the exact same. "What is up?" He asks.
"Last night, I received this email." I hand the phone over for them to see it.
"Adam traced it and it came from a cafe by the pacific coast. There is no name behind it and actually looks more like a spam than regular email." I sigh, sitting back.
"So it is addressed to Alpha Elliot. Which one though Tyler or you?" Uncle Nathan muses.
"I would say Tyler. Honestly from the words, the person is trying to use an old riddle from the looks of it." Alastair chimes in.
"However, we know that Juilian came from over seas. Is it possible that we missed someone else though?" Uncle Nathan keeps questioning.
I can feel heat rise through my body, as my hands shake. The questions with no answers. Everything combined, making me extremely mad.
"We are not trying to work you up." Alastair is quick to know where I am heading.
"I know that." I snap not meaning too.
Taking a deep breath in, I ground myself.
"Sorry. I know your not trying to get me mad. It is just the situation at hand. I don't want to get Mom and Dad involved, since they are finally being free and relaxing. They need and deserve all they can have." I sigh.
"I will figure this out, I have to as I am now Alpha. The only thing to do is up training even more and keep watch for any new things to pop up." I shake my head.
"Every warrior I spoke with after the attack stated they never seen anyone escape. There was so much going on that night though, it is always a chance." Uncle Nathan thinks back.
"It would take to long to try and talk to all the warriors that are here from that night and it's not even counting the ones that was here from the other two packs that are allies." I rub my temples.
"I think you are right by just keeping training up and keeping watch. If anything has taught me in my long life is that everything always comes up in the end." Alastair gives me the look I know all to well.
Alastair was always one to remind me of patience growing up, but I never learned.
Abbs walks through the door. "The new members that are wanting to join will be at the boarder tomorrow evening."
"Sounds great. We need to be careful though, with this new email. Maybe we should look into each of their back grounds again." I tell her.
Alastair and Uncle Nathan both excuse themselves. After telling me they would like to be kept informed and will help in anyway that they can.
Abbs and I go through the rest of the afternoon looking over every single person coming in tomorrow evening to see if they are clean or have a background of issues.
The one thing that I am leery of is the ones that don't have much of anything there in their records. So far, I don't have a single rogue looking to join so that is the plus side of it all. Rogued get sketchy trying to see if they will even place within a pack.
Andrew came in at some point and is working away on the laptop for the treasury side of things. I don't feel to sorry on that side. Since, yesterday when I approved so many things that the pack can buy. Now Andrew goes in and sections the money out.
Thankfully, money is not even an issue our pack has grown even more and Dad done many things with grandpa that helped invest and more than triple the money over the years.
Adam walks in with many plates full of food.
"You guys missed dinner. So, I brought it up for everyone." Adam smiles.
I can see more of Mom in him than in Andrew and myself.
"Thanks, bro." I give him a smile.
I keep reading through everything, while taking bites of food in between.
By time we go back through the files, everyone still looks clean. That was a waste of time. I throw the last file I was holding down on the desk.
I bring the training log up on the computer screen. I need to go over them and see what can be added in each day and the areas not getting enough focus on with training.
Everyone else has long since left the office to turn in for the night. I just want everything to be in top shape. So, I am still here going over things.
My phone pings. Looking down to see another email. I open it immediately,
How sweet it is to know we are not far apart, Alpha Elliot.
My hands shake at yet another off the wall email. Oh, I will be ready alright. I am already fed up with the two lame emails. Whoever it is wants a fight, then all I can say is bring it.
