Fredrick and I are sitting in the office, both going through a computer searching through the digital archives.
This is so much easier than books, especially trying to even find the right book. It cuts down time in the biggest sense of things. Through out the years other Alpha's have been adding to the archives on little documents they have had for centuries.
It opens up the research side of things to global throughout the packs. Easier is an understatement, we don't have to call packs to get information from them anymore. Something, that at times I knew would take days to get a simple piece of their information from their end.
I truly loved the idea Fredrick brought up with the children. It is a part of them and it is not right that they should have to ignore that side of who they are.
I want them to embrace it for the good just like their kind used too.
If they choose to ignore that side of who they are then I want that to be their choice. In this pack, they will have the options they have never had before.
I come across one of the documents that holds so many different spells and chants for Healers that they done before Juilian came in.
The dates are just amazing as they are early A.D. time period. It seems like the Healers used to follow wolf packs, helping within the pack.
Some of the reading states how many times Healers were mates to wolves and would have the perfect balance between packs.
"Hey, I got many papers printing out. It is the jack pot it seems when it comes to Healers. There used to be a huge number in one of the packs from overseas." I tell Fredrick.
"That is great darling. Is the spells named?" Fredrick asks.
I do a quick double check. "Yup, they are all named. Plus, it is in order from easy spells to more advanced healing."
"That really is the jackpot then." Fredrick chuckles.
Chase walks in a second later with Adam.
"Hey, Buddy. Spending time with Uncle Adam?" Fredrick asks him.
"Sure are. Uncle Adam showed me some different things that can actually be cooked for lunch. I brought a plate. I really want you to try it." Chase smiles.
The smell of the food just reached me, once he mentioned it.
"I am all for the food." I laugh holding my hands out, moving the laptop to the table.
Chase sits next to me and puts the plate on my legs, with a smile so big at his achievement.
"Grandma was teaching me history. That was so boring." Chase sighs.
"I seen and rescued my nephew from being put to sleep." Adam laughs.
I shake my head, trying not to laugh. Taking the first bite of the meat in front of me.
The steak is cooked just right, but with many different seasonings on it.
"What are you guys up too? Plus, it smells amazing in here." Andrew walks in.
"We are just pulling some things from the data base we may be needing. The smell is this amazing lunch Chase made with Adam." I tell him shortly, taking in more bites of the food.
"Coming to work on the treasury side of things?" Fredrick asks in between bites of his food.
"That was the plan. Got to keep you on your toes signing away." Andrew laughs.
My plate is clean and it looks like I licked the plate. That truly hit the spot on flavor.
Can I lick the plate? Storm asks.
I laugh out loud with her question, causing everyone to look at me.
"Sorry, just hungrier than I thought. Thank you sweetie." I give Chase a side hug.
"I much rather cook than go through history. Besides, I have to make sure I keep my Mama healthy and happy. If Mama is happy, baby is happy and healthy." Chase smiles, looking at my stomach.
My heart grows even more, if that was even possible.
"Did you ladies figure out a theme already?" Adam asks.
"Oh yeah, it was so fast and easy. Uncle Nathan is already working on the paint for the walls. He said wallpaper would not fly. It is a simple night theme with the forest and moon." I laugh.
"May I go help him, Mama?" Chase asks.
"How much schooling did you get in today?" I give him a look.
"We had done everything and was almost done with history." Chase's eyes gleam.
I should have known the history was the last lesson for the day.
"You can help, but later today we will finish that lesson up." I smile at him.
Chase is out the door and flying into the room next to his. We all laugh at how fast he is able to move, especially if it is something he is ready for.
"The research must involve the children." Andrew states.
"Yes the Followers used to be Healers prior to a huge group getting involved with Juilian centuries ago. Chase was trying to practice magic when he was brought here. Even though he is not practicing, the traits are there and coming out." Fredrick tells them.
"We want them to know that side to them and use it for the good that their ancestors used to do. I came across that Healers the majority of them was mated to wolves." I tell them.
"It is something we wanted to get a head start on and printed out. We don't know how long gathering all the spells and chants could take. Once we have everything and have read over it, we will gather all the children with the high rank wolves and just have a simple talk with them to explain all of this." Fredrick adds in.
"It is something we need to involve the entire pack in as well, though. Members need to know this is not a bad thing and that it is for the best. The children need to be able to learn what is natural for them." I finish.
"The members are going to be fine with whatever you both choose to do." Adam and Andrew answer at the same time.
I shake my head, they have done that since they was young.
"We still have quite a bit to go through and print off." I tell Fredrick.
It seems to kick him in gear and he goes back to typing on the computer. I follow suit behind him and get back into the world of online records.
There is so many different things and I can't wait until we can talk to everyone to see if this is what the children may want.
Happiness through out the pack is the strongest thing to have, and these children are growing up in the next generation with the other little wolves. They will make the next step in life happen, so we need to make sure that every single child is thriving.
