"What do you mean?" She couldn't fathom the idea that he wasn't really here, she just saw him. Becket pulled her into the office and gave her the once over. "He was just there. Trevor was just here." Saoirse explained as she looked at him then back to the hallway. "He was just here," she whimpered.
"Who?" Becket asked again while shinning a light in her eyes, her pupils were dilated, nose was flared and her breathing was shallow.
"Trevor," Saoirse screamed. "Trevor was here! He was just here!"
"No, Saoirse he wasn't, he's not." Recollection set in and Becket placed a dark hand on Saoirse's shoulder. "Trevor is missing?" He questioned but he already knew by her reaction, by her hallucination that he was still gone.
"That wasn't him?" She whined softly as she leaned into him.
"Saoirse you need to go home."
"I can't," she pulled away from him as a tear fell from her eyes. "I have to work," she wiped away her tear with the back of her hand. "If I don't work then I'm worried about Trevor. But if I work..." I am still worried about Trevor she thought glumly.
"Obviously no matter where you are, you are worried about him," Saoirse tried to object. "He's still gone and getting no sleep, hallucinating him appearing here, losing your mind over this isn't helping you or helping him." He was right, but she still didn't want to be home, she would see him everywhere.
"Brent, you ready?" Max asked as he zipped up his jacket.
"What?" Brent Irons was still staring at his phone, staring at the missed message.
"You ready?" He asked again not seeing the confusion and pain in his eyes, or the way his hands shook while trying to move his phone away from Max's view. "What's that? You ready or not?" Max was not a patient person, but since the recent information about Brent's sister, he wanted to help he just didn't know how. Max gripped the phone away from Brent's hands and pressed play on the message.
"No," Brent started, but the message was playing loud and clear.
"This message is for Brent Irons, this is CVS pharmacy," said a mechanical male voice.
"What?" Brent took back the phone and looked at the number again... he blinked again and again trying to get his eyes to focus, he could have sworn it had said...
"Your prescription is ready for pickup at the CVS pharmacy on," the voice said again.
"You alright man? That your panic medication?"
"Anxiety," Brent corrected, still unable to believe that he read the numbers wrong. He thought that is was-
"You need us to pick it up before we head out?" Max didn't know how else to help him.
"No," Brent stated locking his phone and shoving it in his pocket.
"You know man, usually I would be fine with moving forward but I need you sharp, not edgy and freaking out."
"I'm fine," Irons bit out as he pounded his fist against his thigh.
"You sure this isn't about your sister?" Max asked cautiously. Brent's eyes turned sour.
"How did you-"
"I was... I just saw a file and... I'm sorry man." Brent just shook his head, eyes glaring up at Max as he moved to the police car. "If you want to talk or need help-"
