THEM
"Run" Drake stated as he opened the cage to Cassie and Caleb's door. He pointed a large knife at Cassie keeping her frozen in her stop and told Caleb again to "get up and run." They were pissed about losing Agnes and needed a good hunt to get their anger out.
"No" he said as he tucked himself further into the cage. He was in no shape for a fight.
"Run or else..." Drake threatened.
"No" Caleb repeated.
"Fine." Drake lowered the knife, to a nearby table, a thick layer of dust and blood staining his fingers. He reached a hand into the cage grabbing Caleb by the hair and pulling him out the door. He slammed it shut on Cassie's fingers she cried out in pain.
"You don't want to run, I can still make this fun."
"No, please stop, don't do this!" Cassie screamed, tearing running down her face. Rodrigo was right she was going to lose the person she cared about most of all, and there was nothing she could do to stop it.
Drake tied Caleb down to the table with Hector assistance, his arms and legs splayed wide.
"No please stop" Cassie begged.
Trevor and Rodrigo stayed silent.
"Get Prudence, she is better at carving" Caleb struggled against the restraints, yanking at the chains and ropes with all his strength.
"Please don't" Cassie weep out, her eyes finding Caleb's. He was terrified, they all were.
"Prudence, he didn't want to run" Drake said to his dismay.
"Joy" she said dully as she grasped the nearest knife. "My turn."
She took the blade and made a long mostly clean cut going down his chest horizontally. He screamed out in pain while Cassie begged for them to stop. She cut deeper and deeper, each layer his struggling grew, he trashed in his spot and Hector and Drake had to hold him down.
"Keep him still" she demanded.
Caleb was breathing heavily now all while struggling to breathe through the pain. Prudence gripped his ribs in her hands and pulled.
"Gah" Caleb screamed and panted through the pain, the feeling of his left set of ribs breaking into himself. The heads of the ribs jutting into his spine and jamming into his lung and putting pressure on his heart. Prudence gripped the other side of his ribs and pulled with all her strength. Caleb let out a gasp.
Caleb was no longer screaming, he could no longer breathe as she held his lung in her hand and delicately severed it from his body. Cassie tucked her head in her knees and wept out rocking slightly where she sat.
Once the lungs were removed Prudence smiled at her handiwork.
"Beautiful aren't they?" She asked holding them up for all to see.
"You monster" Cassie quivered still unable to pull her eyes up from her knees. "You cruel, awful, creature."
They left Caleb peeled open while they left to enjoy their seared lungs. Trevor wanted to help Cassie, to comfort her but didn't know how. He was a cage away and there was nothing he could do or say to make this any better. Rodrigo was right they were never making it out of here, Caleb's death had proven that.
You might think seeing the one love murdered in front of your very own eyes is the worst thig you can see but it isn't. Seeing them cut open, hearing their bones breaking their blood spilling onto the floor, the tear of skin and muscles pulling away from itself. That would be the worst thing Cassie Danvers ever witnessed and she had to witness it more than once but it hurt the most of all when it was her husband. Obviously it hurt the most when it was the one she loved more than anyone.
