Saoirse begged to go back to work but her stability was still a risk to the hospitals patients. After her previous break down screaming at an invisible Trevor, she needed to take a psych evaluation before resuming work. It had only been three days. Three days of worrying sick over a man that cheated on her. That's what really upset Saoirse. She wanted to feel bad for him, to miss him, to be worried, she wanted to feel all these feelings, if he hadn't cheated on her. But since he did, she wanted to feel nothing. She wanted to be a heartless bitch and say screw you. But she couldn't do that. As a doctor she made a vow to protect and help others she couldn't just turn that off. She couldn't just say 'well, you're a bad person, I don't care if you live or die.' She wanted to be able to do that, but he was her best friend, she thought he was going to be her forever. She still didn't want him dead, no matter how much she hated him.
Saoirse tossed her phone in the air lightly debating calling officer Irons and Coleman, maybe they had something, maybe she could help again, maybe... she hit call unable to help her curiosity.
"Sir...sah is calling" Coleman said with a grin as Irons moved closer to the desk. "Hello Miss Greer what can I do for you?" Coleman said nonchalantly.
"You know my number?" She asked confused.
"You call enough time and I will have you number memorized. I can hang up if you like and let it go to voicemail."
"No, no, no..." she looked down to Bruno's empty water bowl, "I just didn't know that you, never mind. I wanted to see how your progress was going. If you made an advances-"
"Sadly darling, we have not made much leeway on the case but...." Coleman looked over to Irons who nodded slightly, his ear pressed against the phone to listen.
"Oh."
"You want to come in? Help us out again? Your online investigation skills helped... a bit"
"A bit" Irons muttered, she gave them a huge clue, some real leads. It was just too bad that it meant that more missing people, more missing couples and siblings were their best leads.
"Yes, I will be right there"
"Actually" Coleman started "Can we meet at Irons place?" Brent shook his head no "I'm so sick of this office and the lights are giving me a massive migraine."
"Sure, give me the address."
"Thanks Sir-saahh" Coleman drawled out her name with a smile "see you soon."
"What the literal hell." Irons stated when Coleman hung up the phone.
"I have a migraine, come on or else she is gonna beat us there."
It was strange, being in a strangers apartment. Saoirse looked at everything and nothing, she didn't want to be nosey but snooping through Brent Irons drawers was easier than finding what felt like a million dead ends to finding Trevor. They all settled down though and got comfortable rather quickly, them all having a combined goal helped direct their conversation.
"New boyfriend?" Coleman joked as Saoirse's phone dinged, she shot him a glare that could kill. "Joking" he said weakly reaching for another egg roll. She checked her phone to find Taron's name, Taron Waters... she hadn't really talked to the Water's since the whole thing happened. Taron messaged her a few times to check on her after she found out about Brandi (he mainly thought that Saoirse would be out of his life since his brother screwed up) but she didn't think to check on him. He lost his brother after all.
"Taron" she said aloud as she started to text him back.
"Taron Waters?" Irons asked as he dropped a file between them, she nodded and continued to type.
