A sister branch to the xenodasi clade (hyracoinsectiphilia) is a clade of small, gliding, nectarivores. This clade is called volaticonectaphagia. A notable species is the neyrax for being the smallest hyrax in the world so far, weighing about 32-38 ounces. The tail-like formation at the back is actually many long, tightly packed hairs that are controlled by many muscles for effective turning while gliding.
near more wet areas, a more aquatic lithohyracoid is evolving to feed on the uncontested water plants. it has developed adaptations to be as dense as possible in order to run across the floor of pools of water. they are the largest herbivores as of yet, reaching weights of 120 pounds. these animals are called imbraxes. (clade hyracomarina)
Not far underground, a highly specialized Hyracocarnivoriform, within the hyracoinsectiphila clade, has developed a very mole-like lifestyle. this creature is called the Talpdiax.
