Hyrogriffs are a clade of euvolatican hyraxes that evolved near the end of era 1. they are extremely effective at both air and land travel and tend to be more carnivorous than their ancestors.

they are hypercarnivores, eating mainly smaller hyraxes. they're effective flyers and are able to cross vast stretches of land. they use their long canine-like teeth to break the spine or puncture the throat of their prey, and their long back claws are for holding prey and transporting it to various areas. they can weigh up to 90 pounds, making them one of the largest members of their clade so far.
