Out in the mall, outside of the dojo the boys were admiring a bright red, very expensive go-kart. Sharing all their comments about the matter and all Jerry had to say was that it was red. I'd gone to go hang out with Kim at the hair salon. Not actually there to go get anything done, but just to sit and keep her company.

When we walked around the corner to give our greetings to the guys, Kim's hair was big and poofy. She told them it was ok to laugh since she had gotten them $10 closer to getting the go-kart they all wanted. Not really my cup of tea.... She was ok with it cause the hairstyle college students needed people to test their work on. And why didn't you get your hair done? Jack asked me. And let a bunch of uncertified college students mess with this hair?

No, no, no her hair is absolutely perfect the way that it is, not that mine wasn't previously, but the things we must do for money. Once we enter the dojo everyone's going on about the many ways that they've been able to bring in the money for said go-kart. As I playfully role my eyes and pull out my karate gear from my locker.

The rest of the gang wasn't too pleased with Jerry since he hadn't brought in any of his own money to give to the go-kart. And then Rudy came in with weird looking hair too, and he said he'd brought in $10 too by selling his golf shoes. He knew nothing about the hairstyling, which might very well explain his hair.

After we started all getting ready for practice, Eddie called Rudy out to help him with something all worried. While Jack and Milton kept at it. And so Rudy took Eddie to go help him with his problem, since he thinks he wasn't sure if he ended up paying the pretzel guy for his pretzel the other day, and thinks he stole it.

Back inside, Kim had gone again to the beauty salon dragging me along, and this time she came back with colorful feathers in her hair. And $10 more for the go-kart, and then they were wondering what had happened to Jerry since they hadn't seen him in the last two days now, but then they go outside to discover that Jerry was driving said go-kart.

But Jerry admitted he'd decided to go solo, and tossed Kim and I his helmet. He motioned me over and draped his leather riding jacket over me. Jerry how? Well I got a job delivering meatballs for the meatball king and started racking in the money. And then his boss called to make sure he'd done his job.

He offered Kim money to get her hair fixed, and she lunged at him, as Jack held her back. But don't worry about the jacket girl, I can always buy a new one, he said with the click of his tongue and a wink in my direction as I rolled my eyes. I mean I was gonna keep the jacket anyways I love leather jackets. Milton passed him his helmet and he was peaceing out on his new ride.

Meanwhile Eddie and Rudy were at the pretzel stand making Eddie tell the truth about what he had done. But the person selling them thought that he was sweet and brave for being so honest and paid him $5. Rudy got upset and rushed right in to see what the heck was going on cause he was trying to teach Eddie a lesson. And it hadn't gone well for him.

Rudy was trying to teach him that crime doesn't pay but he had just paid him, and the pretzel guy said he was trying to teach Eddie that being honest and truthful should be rewarded, but Rudy disagreed that it shouldn't apply to stealing, and the pretzel guy said that being truthful conquers all.

Rudy decided if telling the truth was game, then he wanted him to know that everyone thought his pretzels were basically as hard as a rock, and then the vender threw a pretzel at Rudy and made his nose all swollen. Over at Phil's Kim, Jack and I were talking about how ever since he got that job Jerry had been a changed man, and that if he called Kim doll one more time she was gonna pretty much beat him up.

When Phil saw Kim's hair he said he'd fix it right up, and that he'd seen worse. Then some guy that Phil owned money to came in to collect, but Phil panicked and said he needed more time, but the big tall guy said he was out of time and wasn't playing games and when he tried to beat up Phil, Jack grabbed the guy's fist and told him he probably shouldn't do that. Jack fought with him until he was able to kick him out literally.

Phil said he was there to collect the money that he owed the meatball king for buying meatballs that he didn't need but had been forced to buy. And when meatball got brought up something started to click in Jack's head. This was Jerry's new boss. Meanwhile with Rudy and Eddie, and went to go see the mall cop Joan. To see if she could teach Eddie a proper lesson.

And then she proceeded to lose her stretching toy as it flung into Rudy's face and hit his nose his nose was gonna be very big and swollen if it wasn't already. Meanwhile at Jerry's job with the meatball king and his minion Dirk they wanted to know everything that Jerry knew about Phil and his restaurant. But surprise, surprise Jerry never pays attention to anything.

And when Jerry mentioned Phil's goat they decided that was gonna be Phil's motivation to give them their money or pretty much or else. Oh Jerry what have you done? We all regrouped at the dojo. Jerry was back dressed in a fancy new karate uniform, Rudy's nose was big and swollen and Kim's hair was perfect now and Jack, Kim and I ran in worried looking for Jerry.

Jack warned Jerry that the meatball king was forcing people to buy meatballs and that he was a criminal. But Jerry wasn't buying it. And then before Jerry could question it any further Phil ran in with a ransom note about how the meatball king stole his goat.

Now the truth bomb that had exploded all over Jerry's face was starting to sink in to him. And he knew he had to do something to fix it. We tried to call the police and tell them what happened but they decided they weren't helping us and Phil was all panicked. Jerry felt bad cause this was his fault, Phil decided he was gonna pay the ransom to get Tootsie back, but now.... Now, you'll be back where you started I reminded him placing a hand on his shoulder. Back to overpaying for meatballs you don't want or need.

Then Jerry came up with the great idea of taping his phone to his chest and getting a confession out of the meatball king to take the evidence to the police so that we could stop the meatball king from continuing with his schemes. He was kidding when he said it, but this bad idea of his was actually a pretty good idea. And actually I wish I'd thought of it first.

And in all honesty it made me want to go in there myself and catch them on recording. It sounded like a lot of fun. Oh to go undercover and spy on people for the greater good. :p ;) And back at the mall jail, Joan was teaching Eddie a lesson alright, she opened a jail cell for him to step inside to look around in, but then Joan decided to give Eddie the full experience, by transforming her officer gear into a jail house cellmate uniform and then they got themselves locked in there since she forgot that the keys were still in her officer pocket.

Back with us Jerry was at the work place ready to meet up with the meatball king. Dirk told Jerry that the meatball king was on the phone with the big boss the Schnoz. Jerry asked why he'd never seen the Schnoz and Dirk said no one had ever seen him, and then Jerry went into the office. But Meatball didn't seem all that too thrilled that Jerry was there and Jerry was getting very nervous about being in there.

The only description we had about the Schnoz was that he had a big nose kind of like how Rudy's was currently that took up his whole face, and that he only shows up if he has to, if you know what I'm saying. Jerry pretended that he wanted in on his crime stuff and accidently disconnected the gang, but they made the mistake of calling right back and King had just confessed to everything crime wise he'd ever done. Now it was up to Jerry to come through and us to hope he was actually paying attention this time. Which means that we're doomed.

Jerry started acting all funny when the phone was going off. And then he poured water over himself. And then his body started to vibrate all over like he was inside a shock chair. In the jail cell Eddie had proof in his pocket that he did pay the pretzel man. That he hadn't stolen the pretzel after all. And then they discovered there was an air vent behind them that they could pry open and break out of.

When Jerry came back he was smokin' literally and also covered in suds. Cause he'd gone through a car wash before he could blow up and that the fan at the end made him realize two things only one was important.... And that was that King was terrified of his boss the Schnoz and that helped us since no ones ever seen him before. You know what that means? I asked. Kim bring out your makeup supplies its time to give Rudy a makeover.

I shuttered at the thought after saying it. Words I'd hoped I'd never have to hear myself say. I grunted in whisper tone. But at least its not me. I shuttered in fear after hearing that last part. As if I'd ever ask for a makeover. Soon we set the scene the mall was covered in fog, there was Italian music playing and everything was coming together.

Phil met up with the meatball king to wait for the Schnoz and the rest of us to come support him. Jerry was also quitting his job. And when Rudy showed up Schnoz and all King was terrified to see him and admitted that had he known that Schnoz was a friend of Phil's he'd never had disrespected him. Phil got his goat back.

But all went down hill after Tootsie ate Rudy's mustache. We all got together and fought off King and his minions and of course we won the fight. As if there was any other way. Or any other ending. As if we'd ever lose. Jerry got shot at with meatballs trying to protect Rudy. And then when he was coming back for Rudy Joan fell out of the air vent right on top of the meatball king. With Eddie trailing behind.

But Eddie was back where he started with Rudy. Without the receipt for proof since Joan ate it, Rudy thought he was lying and brought him a way. Jerry was apologizing to the rest of us. But Jerry also learned a valuable lesson too. That no money was more important than friendship. And that he didn't have a go - kart we did. But Joan drove off in it planning to drive all the way to Mexico in it.

But she got pulled over for speeding and then confessed that she had broken out of a jail cell and stole the car and left her license outside of the jail cell she had just broken out of. And when she tried to trick the officer into thinking his motorcycle had flat tire, she tried to escape but ran out of gas. This was not gonna end well. However, this is where our chapter now ends.
